I've got an F-350 with a 6.0L diesel engine and dual-battery setup and I've been looking for an emergency jump start kit that could handle it. This one seems to do the trick, but I've got some reservations. I tested it by leaving the headlights on for a couple of hours, until the batteries were just a little too low to be able to start it. I was concerned by the very inadequate-looking 10 AWG cables - I've seen similar cables melt through headlight lenses before, so I took the precaution of putting a fiberglass welding blanket under the cables and battery pack before attempting to start the truck. When I turned on the key the battery immediately read 13.8 volts and when I tried the ignition it started immediately - just a few seconds of cranking. That short time was enough to get those cables quite hot to the touch, though. They didn't melt anything, but I think it'd be a good idea to make sure the cables aren't touching anything when you use it. They're so short you're not going to have them draped all over the engine compartment anyway. I'm pleased with the result and will be carrying this set, with its pretty decent plastic carrying case, in the truck. I can't say whether this would work with the batteries more completely dead, like if the lights had been left on all night, and it'll need careful attention to make sure nothing overheats, but it's a surprisingly capable little unit.

Like the title say, it gets the job done. I’ve had a few of this style jump box over the years and this one is decent. I like the added accessory features with the USB plug-ins giving it more than one purpose although it’s not something that I think warrants bonus points. It’s more of a “cool” factor that I think most people will never use. As far as performance, no issues there. My only caution is the length of the leads. Definitely shorter than any other unit I’ve owned and while I don’t think it will impact most, I can see it being an issue for some depending on application/vehicle. Overall I am happy with it with the single cautionary point. As far as value, I’d say it falls in the middle. There are other units I think are better but may cost a little bit more but most of these types of jumpers are around this price. Quite frankly for the “average” consumer, this one will more than do the job for you. For professional use, I’d look at other options with vendors or local suppliers who can offer you some security with a warranty. Plus I can’t speak to its durability or life expectancy but for a shop or tech, it may be better to go the route I previously mentioned for peace of mind. I hope this helps you!

I have a charger in each car and these are a must in my opinion. No more getting stuck with a dead battery, especially when weather starts getting colder. It came in a sturdy case and fully charged. I like having the percentage meter. Easy to use. Plug in cable, connect cables, and fire it up. Good product.

I don't actually have a current use to "test" these on jump starting a car. Although, I'm sure that will perform as advertised. The battery recharges by USB-C, so that's a positive. The LED display is difficult to read in direct sunlight The battery has a cheap kind of feel to it, but it includes a nice hard case for storage. The case is fairly thin and compact, so it stores easily under a seat. This is a good tool to keep in the vehicle for not just an emergency, but also for a portable battery when needed.

I have an old Nissan I parked last spring as it needed some repairs that I couldn't afford. The car I've been driving since is now showing symptoms of needing a head gasket and suddenly the repairs needed for the Xterra suddenly seem like the cheaper option. I haven't started it in quite a while so I knew it would probably need charging. I got home today and found my Amazon package containing this jump pack. I opened the box and thought "wow this is really small!" I plugged it into a charger and found it was already at 100% I figured why not try it out now. I walked outside and tried to start the Nissan and of course it just clicked. I hooked up the jump pack and it started right up! I thought I would have to give a few minutes as if I was jumping it from another vehicle but I didn't. The kit comes in a very sturdy blow molded case that should fit under most seats and comes with the charging cable. It doesn't come with a charger but works with any USB charger which I'm sure most people have plenty of. It has a built in flashlight that also has a setting that blinks for emergency use. It has a USB C output and a couple of USB ports so it can be used as a power bank. It also has a 12v output though I don't know what type of adapter you would use to access it as it looks like the hole you would stick a wall wart type charger into. I suppose if you needed 12 volts for something you could always use the alligator clamps provided for starting. Great little device to have in the car. It beats begging for a jump!
