I'm happy with this product thus far. Super easy to set up, looks very sturdy. The straps all cinch up via clamps that seem well made and sturdy. I just used it for the first time and it did a great job holding my 11' paddleboard in my truck's 6-ft bed. I drove at 65 mph on the interstate, and over some bumps on the road to my launch point, and it held the paddleboard rock-steady. Other reviewers have said the inner padding is a weak point. I can't say one way or the other, but see that the padding can easily be removed and replaced, as it's in a zippered compartment. So far so good! ... show more

I've used this product for about a month now and definitely like it. I paddle board several times a week and this is far more convenient than stuffing a pad on top of my tailgate and hoping it doesn't fall out while I drive. My only criticism would be the strap alone isn't something I would trust on the highway. Just based on not being a ratchet strap you can never get it all that tight... But it's a great first level of security with a ratchet strap on top. ... show more

This tailgate pad was perfect for my needs (9' surfboard in a short bed), the buckles are metal and are protected by a rubber cover to prevent them from scratching your tailgate's paint. The will hold securely. However, do install it so that the buckles are on the inside of tailgate, not the outside. ... show more

Excellent quality, really glad I bought this instead of a different brand. All 3 straps are nice and thick with a rubber protector covering each friction buckle. I have successfully carried 2x 10.5’ paddle boards with my 5’7” truck bed with no issues

I rarely write product reviews but this deserves a great review. I bought this for my wife’s SUP. It is super easy to install on a tailgate. I installed mine on a Tundra. It completely secured and stabilized my wife’s SUP during travel. You won’t regret purchasing this!
