This rod was exactly what I needed to make a divider in a basement/gym/ bedroom. It came with easy to follow instructions but it is very self explanatory. It is light weight, but not cheap plastic, instead metal aluminum alloy, powder coated black. It has many holes to regulate the span to desired measure. It goes several inches beyond what the manufacturer advertises. The rod fits perfectly and smoothly the curtain pocket. It looks sleek and does not take away from any decor. Very sturdy curtain rod not flimsy at all. Held up a heavy curtain across a long livingroom for a year and then I took it down because I didn’t need the division anymore. But I’m sure it would have held for years. Even with kids running and pulling at it.

This is just perfect for what I needed. I wanted to divide my basement laundry room and it really is long enough to do that. It was easy to put up as well. We did have to find a different way to secure this so it doesn't fall down with curtains on it and had to find something to support the center to prevent the rod from bowing. Thankfully it was an easy fix on our end, but the supportive pieces that come with the rod weren't as effective as I'd have liked.
