So it seems like they were able to collect the extra moisture and dampness in the basement. I bought the product the second time. After a few months, this second batch didn't seem to collect water. I contacted the customer service by email. Anna, the customer service rep, provided excellent support. She sent me replacement and followed up to ensure customer satisfaction. My husband ordered these because we had a springtail infestation in our house. We set these in the areas near windows and sinks where we kept finding the most bugs, and they totally helped reduce the amount of them we were finding. Springtails are attracted to moisture, so we found that these absorbed a lot of the lingering humidity in areas where the bugs were most prominent. They don’t emit an odor or anything which is nice. Update: Left these sitting out, bc at that point I wasn't sure what to do with them. I went to move them 6/23 and they actually have water in them now. They're not fast acting but it seems like they're helping overall with the moisture in our closets. Wouldn't use it as my only form of moisture control. -- We alternate between having the dehumidifier on and off. These are out all the time. We get a ton of water in the dehumidifier. We purchased these to absorb water in a jeep that had a leak. We put all 6 inside the jeep and they absorbed the water well in week. We wanted to always keep one in the jeep, but they were too large to place under a seat and there wasn't another place to put one where it wouldn't fall over.
