Hands down strong as heck then I thought! I converted mine into a hydraulic under bed storage! I drilled holes in the frame for it and the metal is more then strong enough! Also for converting to storages it has even more room to put you belonging which no one ever keeps in mind! It was super easy to assemble, it does not have cheap chipping paint or thin fragile metal. I didn't realize how unstable and noisy my old box spring was. I definitely sleep 150% better, it made my bed way mode comfy and my bed is perfectly flat! Although the assembly of the box spring was much easier than we had anticipated, once put together the dimensions were incorrect. It did not fit inside the bed frame for a full sized bed. Because we had opted for this box spring (assembly required on delivery) over trying to move the existing box spring in our pickup truck for a 9 hour drive to our daughters university; we wound up having to go to a DIY box store to buy plywood and 2x4s to create a platform over the bed frame to lay this on top of. I attached pictures to show how it was too large to fit in the bed frame. ... show more

    • Tape the slats to put cover on.

It’s sturdy and easy to put together, only problem is the slats don’t stay in place when you move it. I thought they’d be screwed in. Since i put it together downstairs (larger rooms) I used alien tape to keep them in place to be able to get the cover on. They should at least provide double back tape dots for that. If it weren’t for that, I’d five it an 5. Otherwise, I really think it’s a very nice, solid product. ... show more

I’ve been sleeping on regular wooden bed slats for the last eight years. In the last year or so I’ve been noticing that my mattress isn’t as firm as it used to be in starting to sag. I was a bit disappointed and thought that maybe my mattress was just getting old, but I couldn’t quite identify where the mattress was sagging. After doing some research online, I found out that wooden bed slats are supposed to be space apart at a maximum of 3 inches. If your slats are spaced larger than this, then there’s too much of a gap and your mattress will sag. My slats were 4 inches apart… Looked into different boxspring options, and ended up choosing this. It seemed like a good mix between strong support from the metal while still having enough ventilation. I live in a very humid area so solid planks weren’t an option due to mold concerns. Long story short, this completely changed my mattress. It’s much firmer than before much like it used to be when I first got it would highly recommend to anyone who’s having mattress sagging issues. Installation was pretty straightforward as well was able to do it by myself. One tip that I would suggest is to build The boxspring directly on top of your bed slats. It’s pretty heavy once everything‘s all assembled, so this would save you on some heavier lifting. ... show more

Was a little nervous based on some of the reviews, but I honestly had no problem. The biggest issue was my box had the bottom nearly ripped off so it was tougher carrying inside, but that was it. The instructions were simple, feels very sturdy and wasn’t too hard to put together. You may want to use your own tools to make it easier as the simple Alan wrench is just a little tough if you’re setting it up right into your frame. Also the cover was so easy to put on!
