  • Easy instructions to follow.
Size: Watch SE 40mm
Putting the glue or removing the screen makes a mess. The materials from the description and from the instructions video are different. Its pretty easy to do but I got lost when I saw different things from instructions video vs real life. I broke my screen because of these. You better paid someone else to do this, support local businesses. ... show more

  • You will kill your watch - don't attempt
Size: Watch SE 44mm
While this kit has the parts to replace your glass, the "instructions" are lacking due to poor English translations. This caused me to make a mistake in disassembling my watch which has rendered it useless now. The instructions include 10 steps with .75" pictures for each step. Each step reads like NASA launch manual translated poorly and then abridged to fit the tiny fold out instruction card included in the package. As an example, this is where I made the mistake of cutting the wrong wire. Step 5 says, "Twining the molybdenum alloy lines on the two circular columns, beneath the screen of Apple watch directly but above the digitizer force touch sensor. The molybdenum alloy lines should be cut be tween the outer glassy layer of the screen and the digitizer force touch sensor. Cable shall slide into the viscous layer of the interlayer - this is the binder between the class and the digitizer force touch sensor, also the expected position for the cable." Everyone got that? Makes sense right? Even if the instructions were perfectly clear, there are additional items in the box that are not listed on the contents list in the instructions, yet they look very important to the process. I have no idea what the second plastic screen is for, as it isn't listed on the instructions, but I'm sure it is part of the process somewhere? I knew that this wasn't going to be an easy replacement, and that DIYing this was a risk. However, my watch has seen its better days, and it was a risk I was willing to take to see if I could bring it back to its former glory. My frustration isn't with the difficulty of the replacement, but rather the poor instructions that led to a catastrophic mistake. I'm very comfortable with technology, DIY replacements, and generally very mechanically inclined. I wouldn't recommend this process to anyone however. Even with clear instructions, it is a beast of a repair as a DIYer. The kit gets two stars because it has most of the items needed for replacement. (and some extras apparently). But, the poor instructions prevent any higher ranking here. ... show more

  • Did not go by the instructions
Size: Watch SE 40mm
The media could not be loaded. This watch was damaged, but was still intact, so I used the kit to fill the cracks with the resin and placed the plastic cover over it. Much easier and is working well. The watch is one I wear for work, so I was not too worried about it.

  • would have been good but returned becausei this is for experts only
Size: Watch SE 40mm
the kit has all the pieces and everything you would need. not for me because iโ€™m not an expert in this, it requires lots of practice and skill. that is not a harp on the product it is five star for what it is just be aware of what youโ€™re buying

  • Not for a casual repair!
Size: Series 5 44mm
I am pretty handy and have done everything from automotive engine work, to household wiring and plumbing, to upgrading RAM on a computer. But I trashed my watch. I'm not sure where in the process things went wrong, but I suspect (like others) it was separating the old glass from the sensor. I thought I had it apart OK, but when cleaning the sensor I noted that there had been cuts under the smashed part, and it looked like I hadn't removed all the old glue. More work started peeling another thing plastic layer, which suspect was an integral part of the sensor. Regardless, it didn't work when I plugged it back into the watch body before glue up and reassembly Was it worth it? I think so. Fun project to try, and a "repaired" (really subbing out for a refurbished model that may or may not be watertight) watch is better than half as expensive as getting a new one. Not sure if I'll get a new one or not- I am a watch guy and have other options (although, none as versatile). A couple general comments: -Video has no sound, which is probably a good thing, because I don't speak Mandarin. -The kit comes with a lot of tools that you don't need (my guess is that they are used for other repairs, and this is a general toolkit), and they are all cheap Chinese crap. But they are specialized cheap Chinese crap, so kind of needed (again: some of them). -The UV light (for curing the glue) was incredible weak. I didn't make it that far, so I don't know if it would have worked, but I would have supplemented it with other UV lights I have. -The instructions are a bad translation, but easy to figure out, especially working with both the enclosed printed ones and the video. ... show more
