I have been making this coffee for a couple weeks now. The hardest part is getting the last of the grounds out that are stuck on the side of the filter. I decided to put the coffee grounds outside in plants and the last amount I just put down the sink and there isn't much. I am very happy with this and personally am glad that I don't have to purchase paper filters for it. I personally use 1.5 cups of Amazon's light roast, which has more caffeine than darker roasts. I put 64 oz of water in the jar, part of which I pour over the grounds. I get 48 oz of cold brew out of it.

Read some reviews about how this involves a long process and obviously not sure why you’d see this and assume it’d be ready in 5 minutes. But I’m ok with waiting over night etc. The long filter is a bit more difficult to clean but doesn’t stop me from wanting to use it

We have been using this for a few weeks now. It works great brewing the coffee on the counter. I would recommend NOT picking it up by the handle when you are in the brewing process as it does NOT seal completely. This is due to the filter being in the way, it is enough for the lid to sit snug enough for nothing to get in, but I warn you, you will regret it if you pick it up by the handle. When the filter is out of the container, the lid fits perfectly and is leak proof. You can carry it by the handle with care ( it is pretty heavy full). It will brew cold coffee well, but it obviously tastes better when you choose good quality coffee, choose wisely. Happy brewing.

I purchased this as the nearest coffee shop is 20 minutes away and I do not go that way everyday. I had never had a cold brew jug but LOVE this one. I like that you can pull out the grounds without getting any in the jug. The handle and spout make this easy to use. It seals back up easily and does not leak when pouring.

I was looking for a glass cold brew maker that's easy to clean, and this fits the bill! The mouth is wide enough I can get my hand inside to handwash but it's also dishwasher safe. Easy to pull the reusable steel filter out after the coffee is ready. The jar fits in the door of the fridge but is big enough I only need to make a new batch 1-2x a week.

It turns out this very simple process makes very good coffee, however, it does take a LONG time for the process. It is also a good system to have if you live off grid or the power goes out, but if you are looking for it fast, let's say within an hour or two, this is not the system for you. Plan on at least 16-24 hours. The fact that it is a half-gallon, so if you use drink a lot or have multiple people drinking it, I suggest you buy at least two systems and extra 64 oz mason jars to keep it continually going. For the price, having two systems and buying a couple extra-large mason jars is still well worth it because the coffee is VERY good once done. I gave it 4 stars because of how long it takes to make.
