I was a little septic all if this would work. It worked great though. All I really wanted it for was to get the engine hours on a boat I was selling. The dealer wanted me to bring the boat in and leave it plus they were going to charge me several hundred dollars. The motor I used it on was a 2006 Evinrude 115. I never had an issue with this motor but had I, this would have been a good tool to have. It gives the lifetime fault history and has good descriptions for what they are. Plus a whole host of other diagnostic screens. It comes with a video on how to install it. Installation has a lot of steps so I just did them with the video as it played. I did this on a Windows 10 laptop. My only complaint is it comes on a CD so I had to put the files on a desktop that had a CD and then put the files on a USB drive. Item installation is multi step process, but with little effort anyone w average computer experience can make it work. The second part is making sure connection is good w outboard then overall running of diagnostic is simple.

Couldnt ask for anything better!! works flawlessly and best of all??? half the price and then some compared to other products or the name brand Evinrude box!!! dont stress or think youre getting a inferior product, this thing is literally the EXACT same thing just without the bulky interface!!

Put it on laptop plug up motor cable and info flowed it’s very useful to check out oil system and I love that you can toggle oil pump and ignition
