Got this for travel because our previous travel seat was damaged in transit. I had the mesa infant seat previously, so trusted Uppababy quality already and knew it would be worth the spend. We travel frequently and change vehicles often- taxis/shuttles/rentals. The install on this seat looked reliably efficient and straightforward, and the travel safe program when you also purchase the travel bag, were top deciding factors. It’s a bit heavier compared to my last seat which was very basic, but I always check it and the coordinating travel bag has wheels so transport is easy. I would also note that while heavier than some of the most basic seats it’s not as heavy as others, so it’s right in the middle and manageable. In practice, the install was Infact super fast and easy for me, the tightness indicator is very helpful in confidently installing in high stress/time sensitive scenarios (airport pick up lines). The seat itself seems very comfortable for my child. Overall, very user friendly install, quality materials, and just reliably solid seat for years to come. ... show more

The SmartSecure tension indicator provides great peace of mind, ensuring a safe and snug fit every time. Beyond safety, this car seat is amazingly comfortable. The soft cushioning, adjustable headrest, and multiple recline positions make long rides much more pleasant for our little one. Plus, the extended rear-facing capacity is a huge bonus for keeping our child safer for longer. The sleek design and high-quality materials feel premium, and the included cup holder is a nice touch. Note the strap to secure the Car Seat to the Car's seat hooks is in a small compartment at the front of the seat. The UPPAbaby Rove Convertible Car Seat exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this seat was made with exceptional attention to detail and premium materials. The fabric feels luxurious, and the overall build is incredibly sturdy — you immediately feel the quality and safety it offers.     • Returned It — Comfort and Stability Don’t Match the Price

I ended up returning this seat after trying it for a short period, mainly because it didn’t meet my expectations compared to other seats in a similar price range. The biggest issue for me was the installation and overall stability. I wasn’t able to find a straightforward latch-style attachment in my setup, so I had to rely on the vehicle seat belt. Even after installing it carefully, the seat still had some noticeable movement, which didn’t give me full confidence. Comfort was another concern. Compared to a Nuna seat in a similar price range, the difference was pretty noticeable. The padding and overall feel just weren’t on the same level, and the seating angle didn’t seem very natural or comfortable for my child. On paper, the design and features sound good, but in real use, it didn’t feel as premium or as secure as I expected at this price point. I will say that the concept is good and the design looks clean, but for me, safety and comfort matter more, and this just didn’t match other options I’ve tried. If you’re deciding between this and a higher-end seat like Nuna, I would strongly recommend comparing them in person if possible. ... show more
