The media could not be loaded. It's plug and play, you don't need a separate power supply. The sound quality is way better than a lapel mic. It's a solid mic, I'm new to video blogging and video editing so it's a good beginner mic or if you are on a budget. I've done a couple of projects with it and so far no problems. ... show more

I don't normally give out 5 star ratings, however my reasoning behind giving the Maono Studio Mic Set a 5/5 stars is based on the performance vs price. Most super high quality Studio Mic Sets can range from $200-$1,000. So this mic set definitely falls into the budget Studio Mic Set category. With that being said, your expectations need to be realistic. You can't expect this to compare to a $500 mic set. However, for the price of $58 (Which is what I paid), this mic set is pretty fantastic. What I LIke: - Sound quality was nice - Easy to set up - Quick connection to my computer - Decent material for durability What I didn't Like: - More maneuverability with mic head. It was adjustable, but I wanted to tweak it a bit more easily, (Not a big deal) Overall/Recommendation: If you are looking for a budget Studio Mic Set, this is definitely a solid option. Just plugging it in and testing it was very worrying. But after tweaking some settings (on OBS) its actually well worth $50. If installed correctly, the arm, cable and shock mount are sturdy.

I have had this Mic for roughly two weeks at this point and the Mic has good audio quality. I have gotten several positive comments on my live streams and video's I produce on YT. I would recommend this for anyone that needs improved audio for YT production and does not have a full studio setup with a dedicated mixing board for their Mic.     • Poor Sound Quality
For how intrusive this mic is, you'd think it would have an awesome sound quality. This is very much not the case - besides the fact that my webcam mic is actually as clear as this one, it also cuts out extremely bad... I am constantly blipping in and out and my viewers have no idea what I'm trying to say. Plus, it really kills the vibe in the stream when there are technical difficulties (which I constantly have with this mic). Overall just not satisfied. If I could return it, I would. I really just wanted something at least semi-professional sounding and this mic does not achieve that goal. Like I said, the audio quality is not an improvement from what come standard with my webcam. Also, tho the mic is adjustable it doesn't really stay in the place it's adjusted too... moves around a lot. Also like I said, it's very IN YOUR FACE.. Would not recommend! Spend a little more and I think you can get better quality (more clear and consistent) audio.
