The media could not be loaded. It comes nicely packaged. The pieces are separate, but the cord is already through them. So, all you have to do is screw everything together. The instruction book is well written and helpful especially when figuring out how to use the buttons. The Lamp: The lamp has good ranges of both brightness and color. The base is nicely weighted and I feel the whole lamp is sturdy. The main lamp will swivel side to side and can fold all the way down to the pole. It will also rotate, which makes it so you can put it to whatever direction you want at almost any angle. The arm for the side light is very flexible and allows that light to be pointed whatever way you want. There are control buttons on the pole and it also comes with a remote control (2 AA batteries NOT included). The handheld remote: My remote was already paired with the light, but they do have instructions on how to pair it if for some reason it wasn't paired. It does need 2 AA batteries that were NOT included. The remote can be magnetically placed on the pole if you don't need it elsewhere. The remote has separate controls for the main light and the up light. You have a button for light color temperature and a button for brightness and a button for on and off for each lamp. There are also buttons for night mode and reading mode. The buttons on the pole: It has 3 buttons on the pole. They are VERY touch sensitive. The top button is for on and off (short touch for main light, long touch for small light.) The second button down controls the main light (short touch for color temperature, long touch for brightness.) The bottom button controls the small light (short touch for color temperature, long touch for brightness.) Using a smart plug: I bought this lamp to use with a smart plug and I'm happy to say that it does work with the plug! It keeps both the color temperature and brightness settings when you turn it on and off using the smart plug. Though when you turn it on using the smart plug there is a short delay before it actually turns on (you do not have that delay if you turn it on using the remote instead.) Using a light switch: Well, I didn't test this, but a light switch would work exactly like using the smart plug. So, you'll see the same thing. It will hold the color temperature and brightness when switched off and back on, but will also have a short delay from when you turn on the switch to when the light actually lights (you do not have that delay if you turn it on using the remote instead.) What I like: I like how bright it is and being able to set the warmness or coldness of the light. I didn't expect to care at all about the side light, but I love it's very flexible arm! I really like that it works with my smart plug (and holds the color temperature and brightness I set before turning it off) and don't mind the moment delay in it turning on. What I don't like: I really wish they had a way, a light or something to tell you that you are at the brightest or in the middle or which color temperature you are at or near. the buttons just cycle you through everything. I end up having to go through all the brightness choices several times because I'm never sure I'm at the brightest until it switches to not being bright (same for color temperature). I also don't like the night mode and book mode buttons. I'd like them if you could press them a 2nd time and get back to the color temperature and brightness you had before going to night mode, but you can't. To get back to where you were you have to once again step through the color temperature and brightness levels. To sum it up: I love this lamp! It's going to do exactly what i need, which is to light my tall ceiling. It has a nice, bright setting that will definitely do the trick and it works with my smart plug! ... show more

I had given up on floor lamps, when my son convinced me to try this one. I caved in and said I would give it a try. Wow, I cannot believe the ease in set up, the beauty of being able to direct lights in direction needed, control of brightness and low soft color, gotta love ability to control the shades, of lighting. Durability is nice, look is quality, it has ability for controller to be magnetically attach to floor lamp pole. I will be attaching via velcro pads to wall and controller. Although it is magnetic, afraid not strong enough and falls quite easily. It is so nice, my other son came over saw it, tried it and bought his self one. What I did learn after speaking with my son, is his controller had to be reprogrammed, he had plugged floor lamp into wall. Decided he didn't want it in that area, unplugged and placed it in area he ultimately decided to keep it in and remote would not work. Luckily he kept his instructions and learned how to reprogram it. I wish I would have kept my instructions.. ... show more

This thing is loaded with options and will brighten up your room and it should take care of most of your lighting needs in medium sized bedrooms or offices. It adjusts to every light type you can imagine. Like daylight or blue blocking. It has gradual dimming or step-dimming. It also has a 1 hour timer to shut off around night time when you're reading. Bought 2 for either side of the double recliner. Can't reach the pole to operate the lamps, so must rely on the remotes - UGH! Why does everything have to be battery operated remote-controlled these days??? Each remote works independently, even with the lamps only 6 feet apart. The light enclosures are very flimsy metal without a rolled edge, and dents easily. Wish the satellite reading lights had longer arms to bend lower, since they can create a glare spot on the TV across the room. They lamps look nice & provide various shades of warm to cool light & brightness. We'll see how long they last! ... show more

Pleased with this lamp. Main light is nice and bright, and with four color temperature choices, you can get precisely the kind of light you like. Easily adjustable angle. Reading lamp is similarly bright, also with the ability to change light color, and dim. Remote is a nice touch (especially as I didn't really like the buttons on the lamp itself- black on black is hard on these old eyes, and so touch sensitive it was hard to not repeat touches). Preset low light settings on the remote are very nice when you don't want to blind yourself turning it on at night. Can't speak to longevity yet, but seems well made enough considering the price point. ... show more

Purchased September 2022. It was easy to assemble. Styling was nice and the remote was easy to use; it's magnetic, which I found very useful. The area light wasn't as bright as I expected, but still useful. When i turned it on yesterday after several months of disuse, the reading light wouldn't turn off again. I tried using the remote; it didn't work at all. One battery was dead, but replacing it didn't help. The little red light on the remote was turning on, so it was working, but the lamp wasn't listening any more. Unplugging the lamp for a few seconds didn't help; the reading light came back on when I plugged it in. Then the reading light turned itself off but wouldn't turn on again, and the area light wouldn't turn on either. The lamp's out of warranty, so I guess it's destined for the trash. Too bad, it _was_ a nice lamp. ... show more
