I am absolutely blown away by this metal detector. I've been taking it to the local beaches for the past month, and it has completely transformed my hobby. My biggest concern was performance in wet, salty sand, which can drive other detectors crazy with false signals. This machine, however, is incredibly stable. It ground balances perfectly and stays quiet until it locks onto a real target. The discrimination is fantastic. I can reliably ignore most of the junk (bottle caps, I'm looking at you) and focus on the good stuff. The tones are clear and distinct, and I'm already getting a feel for what's under the sand before I even dig. It's lightweight enough for me to swing for hours without my arm falling off, and the waterproof coil is a game-changer for searching the surf line where the best targets hide. If you are serious about beach hunting, stop looking and buy this one. You won't regret it!

I went down a rabbit hole on Redditt one night and decided to order a lower priced/intro model to see if metal detecting was something I would actually enjoy before spending more on the hobby. Assembly was quick and straightforward, and the screen is easy to read, the controls are clearly labeled, and it does not take long to understand the basic modes and start scanning. In use, it reliably detects shallow metal like nails, coins, and common buried debris. Audio feedback is clear, and the pinpoint feature helps narrow down a signal once you get a hit. Discrimination works but takes some trial and error, and target ID can shift depending on depth and angle, but I think the learning curve is manageable. The search coil and lower shaft are waterproof, which makes it usable near wet ground, shallow water, and beach edges. The control box is not waterproof and needs to stay dry. The battery life is excellent, and I have had a lot of fun using it so far. the real test will be a beach later this spring and I cant wait.

This metal detector works well! For being on the lower end of price, you get a lot of features that high priced detectors would have. We are a novice at metal detecting, so it was a good experience with this product.

Kinda works. I bought it to find a buried water valve riser on our property. It could not locate anything unless it was with within 12”. It did find two nails and a piece of metal in our yard about 3” deep though. I would say if you need something very accurate and that goes deeper, keep shopping.
