- Lightweight Valve WingsThe valve wings open under the pressure created by the airflow; when the air flows in the opposite direction, it is automatically closed under the action of the spring, so as to cut off the flow. Rubber ring ensure 100% closure and quiet closing.

It’s affordable, is delivered quickly. But just remember this is designed for flexible hose connections. I incorporated this into a solid housing and it wasn’t true to round. If you force it to a more round shape the backdraft blades can have issues and the pivot tube becomes to long and had to install o-ring spacers to reduce any leakage at this points. It worked for what I needed it for.

We bought this fan to cool our room at night, it was easy to install as we previously had a room a/c so it fit where the duct had been for that unit. We like the variable speed but it is a little loud when running on high. So, far it has been a good buy for the money. I didn't give it a 5 because of the noisiness at high speed.
