WOW, these really work!!! I'm 70 years old and have trouble using shears to prune, but these SoarFly battery-operated sears are a Godsend. Interestingly enough, they work better than a battery-operated chainsaw I just bought. The off/on routine gets a bit annoying, but once on they are wroth it!

This works very well for what I need, although cutting 1.5" branches is a bit more than it can handle. It does well with branches up to an inch. It has an extra battery, which is helpful.

As an occasional gardener… Weekend, gardener, I have found the best product in the world. And it would be this product! My neighbor across the street, lost his arm in a motorcycle accident. When I was working outside with the big old snap one branch at a time clompers …..I was getting tired and I just started. He came over with a similar product. He said, “since I only have one arm I can do a lot of work with this, which any of those other two handed models make it impossible for me to do anything. My daughter bought me this and I’ve been outside doing my own gardening now ever since.” He let me try it for the afternoon. Needless to say, I went right inside, looked on Amazon for it and found one that appeared to be just like it. I bought myself AND my very best friend who LOVES TO GARDERN EACH ONE! It was amazing my husband and I had to share this item, and we had to schedule our weekend time so that we each got enough time with it (lol) now that is something that’s never happened before! I got the attention of quite a few neighbors that came over and said what is that and I said well ….Ken, across the street, he showed me his and I ordered one for myself and will not ever do this chore without it again. It made me Quickly, prune shrubs, trees, bushes, flowers, weeds, down to the root. You could get some pretty hefty ones too. I found myself this year, ordering two for Christmas gifts….ordering for my cat sitter and my neighbor. SO TODAY…. I ordered yet, another magnificent machine! Just for myself so that makes two and they’ll be no his and her arguing who’s is who’s. If you want to be quick and responsible and safe and efficient… Buy it don’t wait you’ll never regret it. I HAVE NOW BOUGHT F-I-V-E! Amazing!

Easy to handle and ability to cut branches into small pieces.

I considered returning this item. Generally, it works OK. But it tends to stop working unexpectedly. Sometimes I have to pull the battery and reset. I purchased it because it came with 2 rechargeable batteries and charger. But I don't really know how reliable these new batteries are. The cutting blades work very well. But tool operating reliability is still questionable. This is probably OK for the occasional home gardener. But I would not recommend for the pro gardener. Use this tool with extreme caution. Use good leather gloves. Treat the trigger as if you are operating a firearm. Keep your trigger finger on the guard until you are ready to cut. You do not want to loose a finger! Store tool in case with bottom side up as the oil will leak from the blade assembly. I made adhesive labels for the case: "NOT A TOY" "USE EXTREME CAUTION" "ALWAY PRACTICE FIREARMS TRIGGER SAFETY!" "CLEAN AND OIL AFTER USE" "STORE WITH THIS SIDE UP" (for bottom side of case or the oil will leak out) Time will tell if this was a reliable purchase. REVIEW UPDATE: Do not waste your time and money on this tool. When it works, it's fine. However, it constantly freezes up, and needs to be reset by pulling the battery, re-inserting, and rebooting. This takes time and can be frustrating. I would not purchase this tool again. 2ND REVIEW UPDATE: After writing the 1st Update Review, I went to clean the tool for storage. When the battery was inserted to actuate the blades, THE TOOL STARTED TO SMOKE AND THE HANDLE GOT HOT!!! THIS TOOL IS DANGEROUS!!!
