This is the first of several battery powered garden tools I have purchased to replace old manual and corded garden tools. Arthritis causes me to have to do yard work sitting down now, especially with pain in my back and wrists, so I appreciate how easy this tool is to use. I like that this tool is very lightweight, even with the battery installed, and is easy to maneuver in tight places. It deserves 5 stars for that alone. My first project was cutting back decades worth of unpruned hedge branches that had grown partway over the side-house path. It did a great job cutting back those branches by about 12 inches. At least now the trash bins can roll freely down the side of the house. I ran the tool nearly 2-1/2 hours, and it was still charged when I finished. My second project a week later was cutting back tall, willowy branches from the neighbor's tree that were hanging over the fence and brushing the top of our heads. The tool devoured those 1/2 to 1 inch diameter limbs with no problem. Once I got them cut back, I then cut the 6 ft limbs into smaller lengths to compact better in the green waste bin. It was another almost 3 hour usage of the pruners, with no battery failure. I don't know how much power was left, but I was sure pleased with its longevity.. Some things to keep in mind. It took me a while to figure out how to activate the pruner once it was turned on. I learned that you need to rapidly double click the trigger one time, to get a double beep, which activates the blades. This will need to be repeated if the tool stays inactive for several minutes. Not a big deal. A word of caution to extend the tool's life--just because there is plenty of power in the battery, don't run the tool non-stop. It can overheat. As soon as mine started to get hot to the touch I set it aside a few minutes to cool, before continuing. And finally, I make it a habit of not recharging a partially charged battery. It's best to use it until drained, then recharge while using the spare battery. This also extends the battery life. All-in-all, I'm pleased with this tool, its price, and, so far, reliability.

This is now my ultimate favorite gardening tool!! Comes with a storage box, extra blades, 2 batteries, yes, I said two along with the charging cord safety glasses and gardening gloves. Previously my favorite was my Ryobi Loppers which are great but this tool is so much lighter, faster and cutting is like a breeze. I'm going to be getting one for my mother who also loves the Ryobi Loppers but I know she will be extremely thrilled with this gardening tool due to the fact that it's so light weight and not as bulky as the Loppers. I received it yesterday and tried it out and the cuts were fast and smooth. The only problem I have is that there's a period of time when it stops cutting and I've got to stop and squeeze the trigger a couple of times and wait for it to beep to start cutting again. That was a little frustrating but hopefully there's a fix to it. I haven't read the whole manual yet.

These are wonderful for anyone with trees & shrubs. I have rheumatoid arthritis and a 2 acre yard that has grown unruly as pruning became difficult. I bought these last year and don’t know why I hadn’t heard of them before but they are the best garden tool in my shed. I have now purchased these for other family members & friends. They are very sharp and very powerful (watch the fingers carefully). Trimming roses, willows, wisteria to fruit trees up to 1-2” thickness with ease. I have even forced them to cut branches a little thicker and they can do it (not recommended).

I just got the pruning shears today. After reading the user manual I am a little confused. On page 8, under Lubricating, it says "There us a oil filling port at the reverse of the pruner, take out cotton". I believe the manual comes from a different pruner. At the specified location there are only 2 tightness adjusting gear nuts. However, on the opposite side there is something similar to a grease port (see photo). I tried to use the plastic bottle provided in order to push the ball, but the bottle is too flinsy and almost bent (by the way there was no oil in the bottle). Maybe that's the lubricating port, I don't know. Also, removing the battery is difficult and for the on/off button you need a tool in order to press it. I haven't use it yet, but I hope will do the job

Really wasn’t sure what to expect of these but I thought I’d give it a try. I am really impressed and would definitely recommend anyone. Long battery life easy to use a little tricky to understand at first, but you have to turn on then. Double click then wait for the unit to respond. Conversely, you have to hold the trigger in for many seconds until you get the second click for the unit to stay closed so you can turn off once you know that they’re easy to use and intuitive.

I was previously using a much lower battery powered pruning shears that just weren’t quite doing the job. These shears are more than adequate! There’s plenty of power in the batteries last for quite some time! The jaws are larger so you can do some pretty good size limbs. Be careful because these blades mean business. Don’t get mindlessly careless or you could easily lose a finger. A big plus for these shears as they come in a nice case with a charger and two batteries! I highly recommend them.
