Great for keeping my knives organized in a simple but classy looking roll. If you want to store your knives tip down like in the advertisement pic then I would suggest a set of knife edge guards otherwise this chef roll will have a very short life.

I had been looking at knife rolls for quite some time and I found this one, and am very happy with it. I do Medieval recreation, and I go help cook for our feasts, so a convenient way to carry my necessities is very helpful. It has enough length for my carving and bread knife, and a spot for my cleaver, and plenty of spots for my chef's knife, my sudoku, and a couple of utility/paring knives, and a couple of tongs and/ or forks. Glad I got it. Just loading it up and carrying it around the house tells me I made a good decision:) Great value, and a great gift for someone going to culinary school.

Upgraded Chef Knife Roll Bag, Waterproof Waxed Canvas Knife Case Holds Size Up to 18'', Knives Roll with 11 Slots Plus Zipper Pocket, Portable Knife Holder with Adjustable Strap for Kitchen Tools. $19.99. I ordered this to store game butchering knifes in, which we use to process Alaskan moose, caribou, dall sheep, and bear. I like the neutral green color that I received. The material is a very flexible, lighter-weight canvas. The trim around the edges was sewn nicely. It has one larger compartment that is enclosed with a nice zipper. The individual compartments are pretty close to the 2.28" width that they advertised, x about 6" long. About 6" of a blade is enclosed within each compartment, so the knife handles ends are free to move side to side and end to end, if they are not wrapped snuggly. The overall length of the knives could be up to around 18", so it is plenty long for most butcher knives. All of these details could be read about, or seen in the pictures as advertised, so it is pretty much as it was advertised. I protect my expensive butcher knives edges and points, with edge/point protecting sleeves. Unfortunately, with the sleeves on, most of the knives in my larger-sized butcher set do not fit inside of the individually stitched compartments. If you were to store unsheathed knives within this canvas, I would assume that movement of the knife would cut the dividing compartment threads and the knife ends would also cut into and through the canvas over time. My suggestions to improve this product would be: 1) Make most of the individual compartments wider so that they would accommodate knife sheaths, several 2.25" wide for a steel and a couple smaller knives, a couple 3" wide and several 3.25" wide. That way you would end up about the same overall width of the storage bag and could accommodate knives WITH sheathes. Wider individual compartments would extend the life of the storage bag, because it would help to protect the threads and canvas from being cut from the knife edge and knife point. 2) Attach elastic bands about 4 inches down from the top of the case and another set of elastic bands about 7 inches down from the top, which would allow you to secure the longer knife handles in place to help prevent movement.

Great bag for my Asian chef knives. The pocket for my Nakiri is perfect size. Easy to carry, small and compact. Just keep in mind if it gets wet your knives will as well.. not great for Carbon steel and wood. But it is machine washable and drys quick.
