I purchased these during Prime Days after they have been sitting on my wish list for awhile. We have been in dire need of new knives for probably a few years now. Our set was from our bridal shower almost 12 years ago....yikes. So many of the knives were dull and just were not sharpening like they used to. I finally got over the sentimental value of them, and purchased these. You don't know how bad your knives are until you get a new set!!! First of all, this set is PERFECT for the two of us. We do have guests over, but our last set had so many different knives it was overwhelming and it took up so much room. This set is nice and compact. They wash really well. I took them out of the packaging and immediately soaked them. Easy to rinse and dry. They cut like a DREAM. OMG. I bought a bunch of chicken and planned on cutting it to put in the freezer. The way it glided through....i was really impressed. These are a great value, they look nice, and they are the perfect set for a small family or a couple or a single person. It doesnt take up too much room and it looks really nice!

We originally bought the CAROTE 14-Piece Knife Set because of its aesthetic appeal—it looks great on our kitchen counter and complements the rest of our setup perfectly. But don’t be fooled by the sleek design—these knives are seriously sharp. I learned that the hard way after doing the (not-so-wise) “finger test”—let’s just say I won’t be trying that again anytime soon! Once I got past that lesson, I put the bread knife to proper use on a fresh loaf of homemade sourdough and was blown away. It sliced through the crusty exterior like butter—easily the cleanest, smoothest cut I've ever had with a bread knife. The set includes every knife you’ll need for daily cooking, and every piece feels well-balanced and solid in hand. If you want a knife set that looks as good as it performs, this one’s a winner.

This knife set is very impressive so far. Sell Shun, Wusthof and other high-end, very pricey knives. Have to say these are well-constructed, nicely weighted and extremely sharp. Have already managed to cut my thumb! The knife block is sharp looking and also well-made. Recommend these for someone who doesn’t want to spend a bunch of money, but want's a reasonably priced set of nice knives. NOTE: If you want them to last, do not put them in the dishwasher, wash gently and dry immediately.

Really nice knife set. We recently moved into our new home and needed one that was of decent quality. I gave it 4 starts because we have been using it for about 3-4 months and it has rust on it already. Could be my fault for sticking them in the dishwasher and leaving them in there for a day or 2. Overall really nice looking knives and does the job!
