Here is an actual non-vine review for you to consider. The tool worked as advertised an I was able to use it to retract both calipers for my Toyota corolla. While the tool works as advertised, it is not all peaches and cream. The limitations are that sometimes you have to place your finger against the axle to allow the rachet to rotate the mechanism when no pressure is applied. This is not entirely unexpected and nothing more than a slight inconvenience. It has plenty of power to move the pistons. The 4 hangers included are pretty nice, and I see the auto store is charging up to 9 bucks for similar. Crazy right? They claim the tool has been modified to avoid gear slipping, but I found that yes indeed, the gear slips still occur. It's not so bad, but this is why I suspect that a professional shop that uses the tool every day might have issues with it. For home use, however, no problem. Be sure to place a rag around your master cylinder reservoir as some fluid is likely to be pushed out.

This seems cool in concept but in practicality the brake rotor is in the way so this barely has any contact to compress the pistons in. The plates keep falling off so this tool is a piece of junk. Do Not Buy

While I can see the usefulness of this tool to help with pushing the pistons back in, it was not needed for all for calipers. Simple enough to just leave a pad in and pry against it to push the piston(s) back in. I did use the tool on one caliper just because I had the tool. It took a little bit of time to setup the tool to sit just right inside the caliper to pre-load the tool so that I could start ratcheting back the pistons. That was not apparent in the limited instructions. So remember, wind out the arms enough that they just barely make contact with the pads so that the first pull of the lever makes contact and pushes agains the pads to create enough load so that the ratchet mechanism can function. Then pull the lever and release a couple of times and presto, it works. FWIW, I did not use the hooks. I just positioned the caliper on a bucket in the wheel well and did the work.
