The inside of this tool is designed in a way that it’s difficult to hold the brake shoe springs flat when trying to press and turn them. Only slightly better than using a pair of needle nose pliers.

Made removing and installing the pin on drum brakes SO much easier than using other tools. Well worth the money if you are doing your own drum brakes.

Because the part of the tool that holds the spring clip is conical, it does not hold the clip flat. If the clip is at an angle, it cannot be put on. I ended up throwing away the tool and using mechanics pliers to grip the clips from outside, or compressing it with my fingers.
