Yeah you need this. I was hesitant too at first reading all the reviews thinking is this something i really need to invest in? The answer is undoubtedly yes. Shredding chicken with forks is a task from the devil himself. Save your mental health and just buy this

I'd recently become the owner of a dog that, at least at the onset, was very fussy about her food even though I was feeding her the same kibble she'd been eating since adulthood. Given that she was very underweight and in all-around rough condition when I took possession of her, I wasn't about to starve her into submission. One of my neighbors suggested adding some of Costco's pulled chicken to her food, which did the trick. I, however, didn't want to spend a lot of time shredding the chicken, so I ordered this 12" Chicken Shredder. The Chicken Shredder is easy to use and seems to be sturdy and well-made but one loses quite a bit of product while trying to extricate it from the pins that do the shredding. I ended up not only wasting a lot of time but throwing out quite a lot of expensive meat as well. I found it an exercise in futility and wondered why I hadn't unboxed my Bosch Universal Plus mixer and used the wire whips to accomplish the same task with no waste. Fortunately, my dog became much less fussy and, from one moment to the next, started eating her unadorned (and very expensive) kibble. Rather than toss my 12" Chicken Shredder, I'll see if any of my neighbors would like to offer it a home. Unfortunately, it wasn't ideal for me. ... show more

It foes a great job shredding. I have to rinse it off and use the dishwasher to clean it otherwise it's nearly impossible to clean it.
