I have a 2011 Subaru Forester with the Kenwood Navi stereo system. The Kenwood is not Apple Car Play able. I decided to try this type of unit over traditional units with car play due to the screen size and tablet set up. It's basically a tablet with amp and some features as SWC back up camera. I read and studied many hours of reviews from different suppliers of the same type of units. Some with 2 core, 2gb-32 gb up to 8 core, 4gb+-32gb. I read many reviews having issues with the harness and bought another unit even though the supplier said the harness would work- it didn't and had to return! It's alot of work taking my unit in and out of car, the factory harnesses leave no slack to remove cables from back of unit. I came here and bought the 8 core, 2gb-32gb unit because a person wrote it fit her Subaru with the Navi system though she didn't say which unit she bought. I emailed the UNITOPSCI and sent them the pic of the front of my unit and was given the go ahead. I received the unit on Sunday June 24th and the units harness will not fit. See pic 4 which I show harness and text in white/red. I contacted Unitopsci and now armed with sending then the back of my navi unit, the pic of the factory harnesses and the other two pics we determined the unit didn't come with the 'power cable 2'. They are sending me a power cord 2 but will take 1-2 weeks to arrive from Asia? I wrote this review so if anyone else has my type of Subaru with the navi system to make sure you either copy my pictures and send to supplier before purchasing. I hope this review helps you. I'll will wait for the cable, but I did send my pics and information to 3 other suppliers/sellers -Seicane, Roinvou, and another, they claim to include power cord 2-BUT they said if the cable is not included just let them know and they'll send out a power cord 2. Hmm, seams like the units coming from china are perhaps a hit or miss with the power cord 2. I'll be back with a performance review after I receive the power cord 2. I hope unit performs well as some reviews have stated and will advise asap. I would like to keep my factory back up camera and I'm told I can't with these units as they are AHD. We'll see! I found a couple of You Tube videos showing it can be done with a bit of work in finding the correct power-6 volt/video wires. I'll let you know. The 3 Stars is only because I don't have the correct power cord. This will change after I do my performance review. The Unitopsci team is very responsive and reply back each night when I mail them with pics, questions, follow up so I am happy with the level of service and give them 5 Stars!!

Overall, the price point is great for what you get. Very nice upgrade to bring my 2010 Forester into the modern era with Bluetooth, CarPlay, etc. The head unit install is very simple. Instructions not really required. The backup camera is where you will be scratching your head. The instructions seem to disregard the fact that a Forester is a hatchback. You will need to remove all the trim pieces from the hatch and rear brake light area. And the external trim housing the license plate lamp area to install the camera. There's a rubber boot where wires run through from the main body to the hatch. I highly recommend you only remove the side connected to the hatch to run the cables. It's a bear to get the other side connected back. Overall, just a lot of screws and clips...and patience. Note the wires you will tap into on reversing light. Brown with a yellow stripe is the power/positive and black with a red stripe is the ground. At least this was the case on my vehicle. Just look at the wiring feeding the backup light, see what that corresponds to on the harness clip connecting to it and off you go. I would buy this again and recommend it to others. One thing I wish I could do is customize the main screen (add/remove apps). As it is, you have to scroll each time to arrive at the CarPlay app, etc. Not the end of the world. And of course, it works great without CarPlay as just a traditional Bluetooth unit. You can also connect the unit to your home WiFi and download offline maps and other content.

Was surprised that wireless android auto works so seamlessly. It is very responsive and the feature set and audio quality is WOW! The reason I didn't want to give 5 stars, was because in my RHD wrx sti the headunit is angled away from me making the screen hard to view at night. Had it not been for that I would say best bang for buck with all modern features an DSP level audio quality through my OEM speakers. Sounds amazing.

Like the title says, you get what you pay for. You can only expect so much. That said, the screen is a nice size, the backup camera is decent enough, installation on our daughter's 2008 Impreza was pretty straight forward. Overall not a terrible product. For under $200 it is what it is and she's happy with it. If it were going in my car, I'd definitely spend the extra money and go with Kenwood, pioneer or another known and trusted manufacturer. However I can honestly say I'm disappointed with this.

After playing with the headunit I can’t install any apps because the headunit is on android 9… description says android 11. I can’t even upgrade the Os.. need some suggestion or help from the manufacture or I will be returning it because it’s pointless if I can’t run the app for my car gauges. Bought this headunit to eliminate having extra gauges on the windshield of dash.

I bought this for my girlfriend so she could have blue tooth audio, navigation and backup camera. She loves having the new features that update this car to present day by installing this audio unit. I find it's fairly quick and the display is good although very reflective.
