Perfect fit to replace the one on my outside AC unit that failed. Easy install. Got it back up and running and saved the cost of a repairman. Just be sure you know how to turn off the power first and safely discharge the capacitor before touching anything. And double check with a meter. The price is so reasonable that I bought a second one as a spare. Could save a ton of money if it ever wears out at a bad time (really hot day, after hours, etc.). ... show more

Very nice Exactly what I ordered. HVAC company wanted 383.00 dollars to change. It took 15 min tops to change out. Just be sure to pull circuit breakers and take pictures - no problem.

My American Standard AC/Heat went out in Dec. '23 of course when you need it the most. When I turned on the heat it didn't work so I began checking all the normal things, thermostat batteries, breaker panel and then I went to the air handler and took the panel off to take a look. I descovered tucked away behind some wires a 5amp flat auto fuse that was blown. I replaced it and as soon as I turned on the heater it would blow the fuse. I then began looking beyond the little circuit board which was lit up with a good fuse in and descovered this double pole switch and looking at it saw that the coil was melted. Wala! I ordered the correct, matching switch, (this one), and swapped it out. The heater now works perfectly again. Make sure you order the correct switch because they all look the same, single/double pole, 24v, 50 amp, etc. ** NOTE** always turn the breaker off at the main panel and at the unit and then check with a meter to assure that the power is off before working on the unit. ... show more

Bought this to replace the contactor that was failing on my heat pump. This is fairly easy to install, and has worked for several months now. Would buy again!

Fit and match to original was great. Maybe slightly lower quality than original- but very close. Only mod was to move pair of clamps to new unit from old. The cover over relay is critical. Great value for me. That said, I do have some hesitation recommending this repair to the inexperienced. Your reviewer has experience with wiring and appliance repair- enough to avoid the hazards/problems (at time of repair and long term) with this kind of power (240 volts). My Infinity system presented many connections, corrosion, crud, overlapping wires. To me this repair seems rather unforgiving of errors. ... show more

    • Works right, the contact wiring terminals could be better but workable.

Replaced the relay on my 4 ton AC unit. Works fine. The wiring terminals are not the plate clamp or screw type. The are threaded lugs that are tapered on the ends. That would be fine with large diameter wire however. the results in the uses #10 AWG wiring not fitting is not in full contact of the surface of conductor I like. I ended up heavily tinning the leads with silver solder to have better electrical surface contact. I have had this relay installed for a month. The weather is very hot and the AC unit cycles every fifteen minutes. No issues seen or detected at this time. The startup amps of the condenser compressor and fan are momentarily at 97 amps. Then the running the load is 22 amps. The relay handles this fine. I went with a 40 amp relay verses a 30 as I know there is a voltage drop with the unit's power supply wiring is 55 feet with #10 AWG. That means higher amp draw and wear and tear on the relay contacts. ... show more
