This works well as long as it is on carpet. Otherwise, it just slides on the wood or tile floor. There is no pad on the bottom to grip unlike my last peddler. It seems to be fairly quiet but not silent. It still gives me a decent workout as long as I place it on a rug with a gripping backing.
