The unit has just arrived. I had it operational in less than 10 minutes. These are my first impressions and will be updated as time goes by. Remember to apply right pedal to right side and left pedal to left side. Tighten each pedal and then apply and tighten locknut till the locknut is flush to end of pedal bolt. I am used to a heavier fly-wheel and so find the pedal movements rather jerky. This is my second bike and my first trial of this one. Very quiet in operation. I could not find a "reset" on the display. So far - excellent value for money.

I used to walk daily, but due to bad knees can't anymore. This cycle enables me to burn calories and do minor exercise. I use it while I am watching TV and using my laptop. I recommend it for anyone who can't do heavy exercise.

***UPDATE*** I ended up returning this peddler and purchasing a more expensive style I had tried before. I added one more star to this review as a compromise. All of my criticisms from the original review below are still there, but for me it's just the limitations of these peddlers which are seemingly at this price point. As I said in my initial review, this is half the price of what I ended up getting but nowhere near even half the quality. It's absolutely worth it to save up for a more expensive peddler which you'll get a lot more use and benefits from. Original Review: I got my folks a more expensive under desk style peddler a few years ago and really like it so I decided to get one for myself. I figured I didn't need to spend that much so I got this for half the price of the other brand. So far I'm extremely unimpressed; at half the price as the other peddler this isn't even half as good. The worst part is the stickiness of the pedals. At higher or more average resistance levels the pedals will just stop at a random position, even if you're doing a constant and smooth motion. At lower resistance levels the effect is the pedals just get jerky. I've got a light injury and soreness to one of my knees and this motion isn't helping. With the jerkiness it the whole device moves around a bit even on carpet, and the straps barely fit around my average sized shoes. I've read from some of the reviews that the stickiness or jerkiness improves with use, so I'll keep with it for a few days and see if that's the case, otherwise I'll have to return. I'll update my review accordingly at that point, but I'm very disappointed based on what the reviews would have you believe. You definitely get what you pay for with this and at the moment I do NOT recommend anyone else purchase this.

Floor bike went together very easily, no parts were missing. The manual is sparse, with no directions on the resistance knob....and this is the huge "uh oh" with this bike. If you turn the knob to the least pedal resistance, it pedals "okay" but feels like no workout at all. Once you turn the knob at all to the right, the resistance starts to kick in, but in spurts - this is not a smooth pedal motion at all, just awkward jerky pedaling. The other complaint is that this is advertised as an "under the desk" floor bike. You might store it there, but there's no way you can pedal it under a normal height desk or table as your knees will hit. Not even my 5 year granddaughter can do it without her knees hitting. Sitting on the sofa - well, then your seat is too low for the proper pedaling angle. What you need is an adjustable stool and an elevated desk/table/work station. I will likely return this.

I have used this machine to exercise my knees after knee replacement surgery. I intend to use it after a shoulder replacement surgery this year. It’s a good machine and does what it’s supposed to do. My only complaint is that it tends to move and I have to stop to reposition it. I’ve recently had knee replacement surgery and having to stop, reposition the machine and then get my feet back into the stirrups is a little daunting.
