    • Sensitive, A Bit Too White but Long Lasting!
As other reviewers have noted, the motion detection is 120 deg and, under my kitchen counter, it would come on regardless of whether it was in daylight or night mode. There's no need for it to come on in the daytime when there is plenty of light. The sensor would trigger on whenever I walked into the kitchen, that was annoying and I tried making a few paper "blinds" for the sensor so it would only activate when my hands were under the counter. This helped but if it wasn't perfect, it would "see" my feet and activate. Next, the color temperature for this light is 8,000K. The kelvin measurement is derived by putting a carbon rod in a furnace and heating it, the hotter it is, the whiter the light. Note that standard incandescent light bulbs are 2700K. Daylight is around 5,000K. I consider 8,000K to be over the top white. I chose 4,000K for the lighting in my kitchen which I consider to be the right temperature for food preparation & cleaning (same for laundry & utility rooms). Other rooms are 3,000K which is warmer. Bedrooms 2,700K. It would be nice if you could change the color temperatures to match up with other lights. Still, what I like most about this light is that the battery is excellent. It lasted for 5 hours at full brightness before the battery died. This will last a long time between charges. The profile is very slim which is nice and the magnets are very strong. There is no way this could fall off unless the (3M) sticky tape on the metal plates they supply you with lets go. The adjustable brightness is a nice feature too. In summary, it's a great light for any utility space or closet but the under-cabinet application may be limited. If I were the manufacturer, I'd design an adjustable half-bubble mask for the sensor and add a color temperature adjustment to widen the application. ... show more

These are great lights. I use them in our pantry. They adhere to the underside of our wire rack shelves magnetically and work great. I like the battery level and function indicators on these lights. Nice feature. They were a good choice and very affordable. Very happy with this product.
