May edit review in regards to battery life. But so far the different temperatures and brightness control with one bottom is nice. They fit amazingly well in the plastic display cases I bought. Installation was easy and the magnet makes it easy to adjust the positioning of the lighting and ease to be able to charge them. The motion sense seems to be more of a turn off if it doesn't sense anything but a turn back on if it senses something. So just an auto shut off. ... show more

My house has plenty of dark spots, so I am often finding places to stick various motion detecting lights to be able to see in some places. A cabinet and a closet are my two most common, and each has tested at least 3 different lights in each. This set ("40 LED Under Cabinet Lights") have a good magnetic option which works in both places I've used them. The drawer slide above my cabinet holds one well, and a hanger bar in my closet holds the other. These have a decent amount of brightness, especially for these dark places, and choosing the color temperature on them was a nice touch as I like different colors in different places. Functionally, they are working decently with light. The main issue is the motion detection which doesn't seem as sensitive as other lights I've used before. I find myself having to wave a bit at them to get them to come on at times, so I cannot tell for sure if it's motion, or just a delay in coming on, but either way, it keeps these from being perfect. I haven't had these long enough to tell how long they can go between charging, but they are replacing aged rechargeable lights that have given out over time. Will update if I end up needing to replace due to a short lifecycle. ... show more

I've used and reviewed many different brands and types of rechargeable LED lights. I typically use lights such as these in closets, in my garage, and under cabinets (above counter tops). The light itself on this set is 7"; the unit is 8 5/8", which can be useful in tighter applications: I'm using these in a cabinet. The design on these lights is very simple and better than a lot I've seen. There is a single mechanical button next to the charging port. On the face of the light above the sensor the names of the modes are silk-screened and below each name there is an indicator light. This is a great feature because it makes it much simpler to see which mode you are in. The button also controls the color temperature modes. A single press turns the light on and a double press switches the color temperature from warm (3000K) to cooler (4500K) and to the coolest setting (8000K). Which setting is best is subjective. For use in my cabinet I'm using the 4500K. Holding the button down also increases or decreases the intensity. Note that the battery life will be longer when not on the highest setting. Self-adhesive metal plates are provided, which can be affixed to the surface where the light will be installed. Magnets are embedded in the case, which is common. But a great feature that's unusual is that the back of the light has U-shaped icons silk-screened on the case. These tell you exactly where the magnets are, which is helpful when installing the self-adhesive plates. One C-type USB cable is provided. It would be nice if they provided two, but it's not an issue since these cables are very common. Mine were both charged when received; I've since recharged them and it was fairly fast (a couple of hours). These are a good buy compared to other lights out there: Highly recommended. ... show more

My goodness, where have under cabinet lights been all my life?! This little set of two LED lights has kind of transformed my kitchen experience. I LOVE THEM! All I have to do is walk near them and they turn on...it's so great! The fact that they are rechargeable and we don't have to plug them in is fabulous. I simply USB charge them overnight and they are good to go the next day. They are easy to install (magnetic adhesive) I love the three temperature feature and they are nice and bright. The first pair arrived charged, installed them right away, and guess what? Haven't needed to recharge them in over two months! The kitchen light switches on multiple times a day and still hasn't run out of juice. Of course, everyone's experience may vary depending on usage and dimmer settings. Speaking of which, the brightness is just right for me, so I keep it in the middle on the dimmer. The magnets are impressively strong, installation is a breeze, motion sensing works like a charm, and the switchable control for on, off, or auto motion sensing is a lifesaver. And let's not forget the adjustable brightness feature – absolutely brilliant! Plus, the USB-C cable recharging option is a huge plus.
