This is a charger and MAINTAINER. You can leave it plugged in full time and rely on it to go into charge mode again automatically when your battery gets low. I purchased 2 other brand's units that said they were "maintainers" and they were not. I am using in conjunction with a 230Ah battery for HF amateur radio set up, and the system is now all fully automatic. When the power goes out, I no longer have to be worried about my battery being partially depleted. I purchased this ULTRAPOWER 20A unit because I had previously purchased one of their 5 amp units for a similar VHF radio set-up and it worked perfectly and has been running flawlessly now for almost two years. I expect I will get the same performance out of the 20A unit. I do notice a bit of RF hash when I am on the HF radio, but it is only noticeable when my received noise level is below S1, so not something to be concerned with IMHO. If I am in weak signal coms with a DX station that is barely readable, I just turn the charger off for a bit, no biggie. If using any charger or inverter for radio work you should always take mitigation efforts to prevent noise. I have installed ferrites on the AC input and the DC output, as well as turned the DC out into a twisted pair. All in all, a great product and I don't think I will purchase any other brand of LiFePO4 charger from now on. I am completely sold on the ULTRAPOWER brand of chargers. Don't fall for the fancy LCD screen models that gives you information that you really don't need. The LED indicators on the ULTRAPOWER chargers work just fine.

This is a very nicely built charger. Compact in size but very effective. I've been using it to charge a couple of my 100Ah batteries for a while now, and it has not disappointed me. It's super easy to use considering it comes with an Anderson connector for your battery, making this a plug-and-play charger. Once you connect the battery, that's all you have to do. The charger will do the rest. For this convenience, it's well worth the price IMO.

VERY FAST- be careful hooking these up to cells that can't take the heat! This thing can pump up to 20A into a "12v" load. I charge my battery packs and this gets most of mine up to 10ah in barely a couple hours. Make sure to keep them cool/ventilated!

I've got a lot of various chargers for multiple battery chemistries. This one is a dedicated charger for LiFePO4 batteries, which I like, since the other types that are hybrid just don't seem to charge them as accurately, and I would like to get the longest life battery possible of my investment.

This charger is very nicely made and worked like a charm on my numerous lifepo4 batteries. The charging indicator is kind of close to the cord so it was hard to see at first. You can tell when using this that it is a quality charger. I am going to make another adpter with alligator clips as well to plug into the anderson connector.
