The bridge sometimes loses connectivity. I don’t have internet issues but the bridge on its own can disconnect from the WiFi hence it makes it remotely inaccessible.

This lock was simple to install and set up (had a problem with the bridge but contacted customer support and got it quickly replaced, so that was good to see). Set up different pins for family members, INTEGRATES TO THE GOOGLE HOME APP (this was something crucial I was looking for and glad I can control it from there or through the Google Assistant), bridge allows me to monitor or lock/unlock when I'm not at home. The only finicky part is when it comes to the auto-unlock which can be hit or miss when it works it feels like magic, but I think the issue is that there needs to be a persistent notification on your phone in order to activate auto-unlock when you get home which can accidentally be dismissed and am not sure on how to re-activate for when I want the auto-unlock feature to work. I have two units, the fingerprint one and the regular silver key one. Both work well, the app is easy and intuitive. Have to get a wifi bridge for each device you have so keep that in mind if you want to use it outside the home. Wish there was a way to generate a random passcode for vendors. I also wish there was a way to create a user between multiple devices instead of having to do it on each (although I like the option to also do it on only one in case you only want someone going in/out one door) Customer service is great. I loved it at my old apartment, and we never once had an issue. But I moved to my new one in February and ever since then, we've had to replace the batteries I think 4 or 5 times in the past 10 months. The app always has said the battery level is high, so I don't know what the issue is. We've contacted support and I'm hoping for a response, but it's been a little more than a year since we bought it so I'm not expecting much. I loved the auto-lock feature at my last apartment. In fact, that's originally why we got it. My roommate always forgot to lock the door. The door was lined up correctly so it was able to lock on its own. Our new apt door does not line up so we have to pull the door every time to lock the door, so we have that feature turned off. But if you don't have to pull your door closed to lock it, that feature is so nice. I have it linked with Google so I have as part of my night routine a question so Google will confirm to me that the door is locked. Since the door doesn't line up correctly, I don't use Google to lock it, but I will occasionally use Google to unlock it. I also have a few different codes set. My husband and I each have our own, and then our families each have one. Our management company also has a code. I have notifications set so I will know if they ever use that code to come in. Thankfully they've never come when they're not supposed to, but I'm glad to know that I will know if they do. Overall I love this lock. I just am getting frustrated with the battery thing. The battery tester shows them all as still good, and I've saved them to use in other devices, remotes, etc. But I'm a little annoyed that I have to change them so often and nothing is telling me the batteries are low. Their website says: "Ultraloq is powered by Alkaline AA batteries for up to 8,000 times access. For Ultraloq U-Bolt WiFi / U-Bolt Pro WiFi, it would be up to 6000 times access. For Ultraloq UL300, it would be up to 10,000 times access. That is to say, the battery life is up to 1 year on average use of 20 times access per day. You will also get a low battery alert when your Ultraloq can still be unlocked hundreds of times, so you will have more than enough time to replace the batteries. If you are using a wireless connection, it will cost more battery." We use it 4-8 times a day at most, so it should not be running out of batteries like this. I used this lock to replace my Kevo lock that was constantly giving my wife and me problems. We could never get the app to reliably work. We tolerated it for over a year and finally just replaced it with this one. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Unlike the Kevo, this lock and this app work really, really well. They have many of the same features but this lock just performs better. We actually bought two ... one for our home and one for our AirB&B. The 2.4g only wifi bridge for our home lock paired great. I still haven't successfully paired the bridge for our rental and I've spent probably 3 hours total attempting to jump through all the hoops ... unsuccessfully. That said, this review is for the lock ... so ... five stars ... absolutely stellar. ... show more

Installation and setup on my garage door deadbolt was a breeze. The app is straightforward and easy to use. The ability to share with my entire family and use auto unlock when you arrive and connect to WiFi is slick and super helpful when you return home from the grocery store or anywhere for that matter. I also love the 5 minute autolock feature as well as the integration with my Google Home / Assistants. I did have an issue with locking and customer support sent me a new unit immediately without any fuss. Not sure these are weatherproof, but if they are I'm gonna buy one for my side gates too! I really love to see startups like this making affordable smart devices as others are over priced. Wyze is another one of my favorite companies doing this sort of thing too! ... show more
