My baby peed a lot, and I was afraid it went thru, but it soaked it up and didn’t go thru to our second waterproof sheet. I love that this is a fitted sheet as it’s easier to get on and off. It fits well on our king mattress & the top is super soft, you could even just sleep on it. the only thing I’m wondering is if it’s the same exact product as it says online and has the same qualities it claims b/c of the diff packaging, but I bought this so long ago & too lazy to look at everything at this point. Overall, I would recommend this product.

While this may not be 100% waterproof, it works better than some and it is very cozy and plush on top. It does a good job under some circumstances but if you need true waterproof I'd recommend putting a plastic sheet underneath it. That way you have added protection and the comfortable softness of this mattress protector. We have a special needs person at our house who has an incontinence problem, so we have put this sheet through a lot and it does pretty well. We have tried quite a few of this sort of product and this one is the softest and retains it's plush feel after a LOT of washing. These will leak some if there is a lot of liquid. If you aren't worried about incontinence issues then I really can't recommend it more, it is a very nice product.

We have used mattress protectors (on multiple mattresses our home for several years). The biggest benefit from the past is the mattress stays like new (no odor or stain build up from sweat etc...). More recently my wife has Alzheimer's and looses bladder control, any leakage stays on top (sheets, blanket). the mattress protector wipes clean and can be washed.
