I purchased two of these lights, which were Installed in a small bathroom and a short hallway in a basement with 7 foot ceilings. The Lens material is very thin and flexible -- it feels and looks cheap. The light does not project outwards very well - it works better as an area light, rather than a room light. The version without the metal ring does a better job of projecting light outward than the one with the metal ring; but neither one appears very bright in the installed locations. (4000K setting.) The version with the metal ring has a better overall appearance and feels and looks less "cheap." These lights are easy to install, have a low profile, and they have the adjustable color temperature. Description said flush and damp rated. This is anything but that. It's 4 inches thick and the plastic cap is flimsy. Electrics are on a metal base that needs to be screwed on. No protection or insulation in the back. There is no way on earth this can be damp safe to put in a bathroom ceiling. The plastic cover is flimsy at best and did not stay on.
