I liked that there was no glass but there is a metal cage to protect the bulbs. Our RV had these double glass fixtures that you could not clean and could not change the bulbs and the pendants above the table hit each other on a bad paved road and broke one of them so we pulled both and replaced with these that I can change the bulbs in and no glass to worry about.
