A few things drew me to these pruners. The crosscut blades, the padding on the handles and the shape of the handles. When I tried just opening and closing them, the grip feels more natural. The padding on the handles is thicker than on any pruners I have had before. They came in nicely packaged and with oil on the blades. The listing doesn't mention gloves. The gloves that came with my pruners have latex that goes up to the knuckles of my hand rather than just past the fingertips like the other garden gloves I have.

If you are an avid gardener, then having a high quality set of pruning shears is an absolute must have item. Yes there might be 10s or 100s to choose from, but there are several small, but mighty reasons to make this your go-to tool. 1. The handle is very soft and yet it provides a great feel and proper placement on the handle. After snipping 100s of times in a day, this is one of the best features. 2. The locking mechanism - has two positions, one shorter notch for 90% of the cuts that you are going to make. It keeps the blades and the handle closer together which leads to less hand fatigue. Open up the position to full and the scissors come open even further if needed for cleaning or that random big cut. 3. The spring action has.a very fast rebound which enables you to snip quickly if you have a lot of quick cuts to administer. The carry case is nice if you want to store them in the bag with lots of other tools. I will be curious to see how the handles hold up after lots of use and after getting pretty dirty. As time goes on, I can update my review. Solid performer that will last a long time.

When I first held these shears, I thought that the handles were a little bit short. After using them to clean up the yard for winter I found that they are comfortable in your hand and are quite sharp. The shears made fast work of pruning the rose bushes, and the cuts are all nice and clean, no ripping or tearing of the stems just clean cuts. There is a coil spring to open the shears after the cut, and a lock to keep them closed when not in use. The handle material extends about halfway down the back side of the titanium alloy cutting blade giving it more support when cutting larger branches. Hopefully they will stay sharp for several seasons of gardening. I took 1 star off because even though the handles are comfortable, I still feel that longer handles would improve the leverage for cutting larger branches or stems.

I'm new to houseplants and needed something compact and easy to maneuver and these fit the bill. They are high quality, cut well, and fit nicely in my hand. They are easy to lock and unlock. Couldn't ask for more.

The prices of these things are very cheap, so if you don't have to think hard about putting them off until they are on sale. Good quality, good cutting. Used for pruning rose bushes.
