There is not a better precise trimmer that I know of. The lock does slip back often and you need to push it back open. They do not last forever with lot of use, and heavy use will wear them out in a few months. Sometimes the spring comes off and then you need a new one. But, others have the same problems, and either don't cut as well or don't last as long. I have used (several pairs) for 9 years, extensively for many gardening and harvesting sessions. Great for deadheading, quick basil and parsley harvesting, and other more intensive trimming jobs. I buy 2 pairs per year, and keep the old ones for rougher jobs until they break...some last for a few years. ... show more
