Took this to the beach on Jekyll Island to try it out. It performed well. I could tell that my casts were going farther than I was getting out of my 10ft rods. I got the 12' surf rod, as I over-ordered and acquired a 10,000 series reel and just figured I'd marry it up with this tool, in case I ever got a hankering to go out and catch the Sasquatch of the Seas sometime.
