I have tried several different Expresso Machines, over the years and this one looked like it would be easier to used and the all in one set up would be a big plus. But it kind of came to the Jack of all trade but Master of none saying. It is really not any easier to use and it didn't do as good as job as some of the smaller machines I have had. The media could not be loaded. I have another espresso maker by the same company and which we love, and was excited to review this one, primarily because there is an all-in-once function for lattes and cappuccinos, and there is also a selection for automatic and for manual on all functions. There is also a cup-warmer on top. I think the designers need to go back to the drawing board. We have so far made four cups of espresso/latte on this machine: three the day we got it, and one just a few minutes ago. The video below is from our first attempt, and we made two more cups after that initial one, for a total of four cups to taste. 1) The cup-warmer does not warm the cup, unless perhaps you were to leave it there for 20 minutes, far more time that it takes to made the espresso. 2) In using the automatic latte and cappuccino function, the machine barely warms the milk. I did not record the temperature, which I should have, but when mixed with the espresso the whole cup was lukewarm bordering on cold. 3) There are no markings on the milk box, just a max line. However, it doesn’t give guidance on how much to use for a single or double shot, so it’s primarily guess work there. 4) On all four cups we tired, the coffee was terrible. We used the same grounds we always use, a well-known brand, so it definitely was not the coffee. Nor was it the users, because we know our way around espresso machines. That’s why I tried four cups before doing the review. The rest of the info is in the video. Oh, it does, however, make wonderful foam. It’s just not hot or even lukewarm. Not recommended. Liked it enough to order a second! Original review below: This is my first espresso maker so I don't have anything to compare it with. I found this espresso maker easy to setup and easy to use. There is a bit more of a learning curve than most drip pots, but it's not hard I got the hang of it quickly. The touch screen controls are easy to use. This makes great coffee. The pressure produces a nice crema on top. It's easy enough to clean up but it is more of a process than your drip coffee pot probably is. This coffee maker also takes up more counter space than most drip coffee makers. It does look good though. It also feels solid. While that isn't always an indicator of quality and / or durability it can be. Only time will tell though. Finally, this is attractively priced. It's only a bargain if it holds up and as I said, only time will tell, but we're off to a good start! Overall, I am very happy with this espresso maker. Only thing I'd add to my review above (6 months ago) is related to durability mentioned above ... at 6 months my original is still performing well.
