This year we had to replace out vacuum head. Looking at pool places and box stores near us. We could not find anything that looked of the quality that we expected. Along with all of them looking cheap they came with a large price. We turned to Amazon and chose to give this one a try. I'm glad we did. This thing has heft to it. Not cheaply made at all. The brushes are good and sturdy. They really help to loosen the stubborn stuff that sticks to the bottom of the pool. It is also transparent so you can see if you get a pile of leaves stuck in it. The rounded shape is perfect for round above ground pools. Again can't beat the price and shipping from Amazon.

I have 3 of the vacuum heads and this is my favorite. I have rounded areas in my pool but even if I did not this is the best. It’s weighted enough to hold itself down and the head has a metal clip that helps it stay which ever way your using, like up the wall, it dose not flip around. I will say it takes a bit more muscle to use because of the brushes on it. I was however used to using the ones with just rollers. This is better to me because I don’t generally have to brush, then vacuum it’s all done at the same time. Also for any spots with a corner, the back side is easy to use and gets closer than the rectangular ones with rollers. I have stopped looking and buying new ones since getting this one, the rest just sit on a shelf. Have had this one a few months and so far it’s great, no problems.

Thought I’d try this because of the shape and see through aspect…and because of the coolness factor. After the first use the bristle housings fell out while stored. Popped them back in and they came off while using the second time. Third use I checked them before starting and they were secure HOWEVER there were bristles coming out and there were signs of rust at the mounting point. The 4th and final time I used this was to vacuum the pool for closing. It was more trouble than it was worth because of all of the bristles lost or broken. Went back to my old, (11 year) vacuum head had used previously. I have a 16 by 32 above ground pool and this is the first product I’ve purchased for maintenance that has come apart. FOUR USES and I should have stopped using it after the second time. Don’t waste your money. Looks cool but that’s about it. It is also not weighted which doesn’t really matter to me but I’m glad it wasn’t since the entire unit lost the bristles while vacuuming…a risk that could have torn the liner. Stay away from this one.
