I live in West Central Florida and swim year round. Consequently, I use my pool scoop every day. I’m only now replacing it after four years of daily use, exposure to chlorinated water and the the Florida sun. And even then, it’s only being replaced as it’s beginning to fray around the seam where it’s joined to the plastic frame. Given that it’s probably made in China that’s not bad! Recommended.

I don’t like the little puddles that are trapped in the top of the plastic rim. Not sure why it isn’t just flat so water doesn’t collect on the top.

I use this net every day because we never close our pool and we have lots of trees around our pool. I like it because it’s wide and deep which saves me time.

This skimmer net is well made. The netting is thick and strong and the plastic rim is wide and sturdy. It won’t bend and dump out the contents while you are trying to clean the pool like some cheaper nets do. The front edge is tapered so I like to slide it across the floor of the pool to pick up leaves and debris. I am replacing the same net because it was left outside all winter and summer in the elements (sun, snow, rain, heat, freezing temps) and the connection piece cracked. The net had a small tear (from dragging it across very rough slate coping) that did not affect performance. I will buy again if needed.

I did not want to spend a fortune at the end of the summer. The swimming pool item is good enough to get me through, but it is not commercial type.

Works well and is easy to push thru the water. Some others I have used are VERY hard to push thru the water. If you on;ly use the nets to skim the surface, then this factor is not so big, but if yo use to grad debris from the bottom, this becomes VERY important. I am very pleased with this item.
