I've tried several different types of pool cleaners in the past, from simple ones to robotics cleaners and none were satisfactorily. My pool has radius corners that none of the cleaners could clean, not one did a decent job on walls either. I've used suction side cleaners, pressure side cleaners, none did a decent job I expected. Purchased this unit and I am very impressed with its performance, it cleans the bottom very good, follows the curves in the corners, and scrubs the walls neatly. So far this is the best unit I've tried, it does a fantastic job cleaning the walls of the pool and is extremely quite in operation. No loud clicking noise at all. I am so happy that I do not have to manually brush the pool walls, it was a real pain in the (you know what), especially the corners. I finally found one that relieves me of all the extra work, which at my age (79) is not easy to do.

It only lasted two months, which was disappointing. It worked great at first, and I even had the pool pump inspected to rule out any issues there. Everything checked out fine. Over time, though, the plastic fittings became rough, and the octopus vacuum lost its smooth finish. Now it won’t stick to the wall anymore and no longer travels smoothly at the bottom of the pool.

Perfect for a lazy maintenance day. Cleans a wide path but is dependent on the current so it doesn’t clean 100% of the floor surface. It does vibrate so if you have any cracks or loose fittings on the skimmer they will leak a tad. Don’t waste your money on the hose though. The links pull apart and come loose from the end fitting.

Works excellent. This keeps my pool vacuumed with very little maintenance needed other than adding chemicals. Assembly was easy and comes with extra suction piece to replace the one in it if it wears out.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had several of these type vacuums but none that worked like, “ lord of the octopus,”😆 This by far has been the best. The first day I got it, though I was not sold. It wasn’t working, efficiently not fast at all and I almost gave up. I slept on it and got up the next morning and decided I’m gonna go back out again. I am so glad that I did that because I did not have my pool set correctly for this, “ Lord of the octopus.” it was totally my fault. It wasn’t working and not the equipment itself.. As soon as I set my skimmer correctly and had the pressure in my pool, this thing has taken off and it can swim and suck the bottom off the pool in about less than 30 seconds and I have a 32 foot pool. And it’s very deep. this thing has no problem climbing the walls. I made sure I showed you a picture of that and a video. I don’t normally give reviews, but this thing has been exceptional. And all the extra parts it comes with. I was just at the pool store and I could not believe for just one of those pieces was like $24 or $34 somewhere a little higher. It is unreal what they are charging at the pool store just for the parts. Now my pool is 32 foot long so I did have to add two extra pieces of hose so it would climb the wall efficiently. I will go back and hopefully be able to get two of the same color from the company. Wasn’t sure if I was gonna like this color I’ve had white gray and a dark blue before, But this aqua color is by far the best. It is so beautiful in the pool. I hope this helps somebody, this thing has damn Sure made my life easier. 👊💖

I was so happy to find this automatic pool cleaner that will work with a low HP pump! After some surprises we FINALLY got this thing to work, but it wasn't easy and we didn't care for the surprises. Surprise 1: The name of this product is U.S. Pool Supply Professional Automatic Vacuum Cleaner. SO MISLEADING! It is in fact made in China. It says so below the bar code and on back of the installation manual. Surprise 2: The directions are THE WORST DIRECTIONS EVER! I've assembled a lot of things over the years with all kinds of directions and these are the worst! It took me hours and even a couple of days to figure out what various pictures were instructing me to do. The few words are even frustrating. More on that later. After attempting to hook it up several different ways, we finally got it to work the first way we tried. It was by sheer luck that we were successful. I think it takes a little time to develop enough suction and start working. We were just standing there irritated and frustrated with the directions and not knowing what to do next and the darn thing started working! Unfortunately, it starts and stops. The troubleshooting section says to "disengage the safety suction", but what that is and where that is located, we'll never know from the manual that was provided. We will tinker around with it at a later date and hopefully find success. The description says "for in-ground, above-ground and self supporting swimming pools (excluding soft wall pools)" When I Googled self supporting swimming pools images of quick set pools came up. I couldn't figure out why this would work on a quick set pool which has soft walls and not a metal framed pool so I took a chance. It does not climb/clean the vinyl walls of my pool (I guess that's why it excludes soft wall pools) but it does clean the floor and that's all I wanted it for anyways. The suction test gauge thingy is a mystery to us. We could barely move it with our fingers. The vacuum keeps getting stuck around the resin above ground pool stairs and it doesn't seem to climb those either. Hopefully with more use and more tinkering we'll get it to work better. I am OK with this product because my pool pump is only .48 HP and similar products require more HP. I am still glad I found it. But I could have done without the surprises and the frustration.
