At first I didn't think they would stay tightened but they do! It's a bit difficult to get the right tension but after that, they're great. They look neat and clean with no dangling ends. Perfect for my pontoon bimini.

The plastic buckles broke on my original bimini straps when a strong wind gust hit the boat while pulling a skier. These items arrived promptly and the buckles are all metal. While I didn't need snaps at both ends the loop was sufficiently large to slide over the supporting poles and the second buckle doesn't interfere. This was a quick easy fix for my issue.

This is a good quality bimini top. Fairly easy to assemble, Had to modify the black ends that the pins go through, to fit my mounts. No big deal, and may have more to do with the mount style than the top hardware. I look at alot of tops, glad I went with this one.

The description says: 28" - 60" Adjustable strap. I ordered these straps because my Pontoon boat needs a minimum 30" strap to tighten down the bimini top. The dimension specified should be from tip of hook to tip of hook on each end. No other dimension matters in this application. I received and put the strap on my boat and tightened it down to the shortest length and it was hanging way loose. I took the strap off and measured it and it measured 36" hook to hook. There is no way this strap will work down to a 30" distance, let alone 28". Anyone who buys this strap that needs between 36" and 60" would not notice. However, if you need less than 36" for your strap, don't buy this one. I am returning them to Amazon and will try another brand. UPDATE: I tried some more expensive straps from Bimini Top (Available on Amazon). These straps are high quality, heavy duty latches and most important... they actually shorten up to the length that I need for my boat!
