This is not a very good product, got it all together and in no way can this be for 6-12 chickens. It leaks all over, the wood will split when screwing in screws. It is completely useless to me to the point that I had to purchase something else.

Wood is cracked in spots and very thin flimsy wood, broken piece of wood on the drop fence by the inside door, run is a lot smaller than expected and very flimsy, the nesting box lid where wood panels come together have cracks and will leak in the rain so it’ll need reenforcing, the nesting box dividers don’t stay up and one don’t even have the cut out to put the devider in correctly. Definitely not worth the cost. Please continue looking elsewhere don’t waste your money here.

The wood is not very sturdy. Several pieces needed to be repaired before assembling. Instructions were not very clear. Had to reassemble several prices because of poor instructions. I’m not expecting this coop to last more than a year.

It’s a cute little chicken coop. But there were many flaws in the assembly process. For instance the instructions are just pictures there’s no description of what to do. On one of the pictures it shows to insert a piece but it doesn’t show the orientation in the picture. The piece has two different ways that could be put in place I had to make several mistakes go backwards and turn it around. Also several of the pieces did not have pilot holes where they should have been you simply have to insert the screws in the wood and hope it doesn’t split.. Also the run where it butts up to the main chicken coop kind of gets spread at the bottom it’s not a very good connection point. Instructions also do not explain where to install the clips it should be very exact. Also the metal handle it’s supposed to sit down but it doesn’t actually give you a measurement of how far it’s supposed to sit past the bottom. I just guess that it shouldn’t be deeper than the thickness of the wheels that seem to work. My point is is the instructions are terrible and the overall connection points are not solid. The simple introduction to some metal plates and additional screws would’ve made it much more solid. As far as weatherproof goes I don’t know I just set it up and the rainy season hasn’t started yet we will see. Overall not impressed with the solidity of the product or assembly and it seems like they chiefed out on lots of the hardware and parts. Also one of the pieces was badly damaged luckily I am a carpenter and I have a 15 gauge gun and wood glue and some clamps and I took a half hour and fixed it. Anyone else would’ve had to have returned it which would’ve been a three hour repacking cycle.

NOT WEATHER TREATED - This coop WILL leak and break down within its first year. Ours started shedding parts within the first month, exposing staple ends and letting rain into the nesting boxes. The run is also not suitable for more than 4 full-grown hens, not 6-12. The roosting bars are too low and encourage the hens to roost on the nesting boxes, mingling the eggs with feces. Could be used as a transitional coop for adolescents, but not suited to adult hens.

Arrived broken and poorly put together. This is not a chicken coop that will last for years. It is more like a temporary coop. The good part is that they sent a replacement . Between the two coops I was able to make a coop that may last the year. I did have to make repairs when the coops. Was not weatherproof and the wiring was broke in places. These were quick repairs and is now sun what functional.

Update 4/16/23 - as much as I wanted to love the coop, and for the most part do, it is in need of TLC at this point - the doors to the nesting boxes have warped and boards separated within a few months, the walls to one nesting box have all but come apart at the corners. the door/ramp has come apart and fell off and had to be replaced. I must say the coop and run are nowhere near big enough for the # of birds the ad boasts - only a max of 3 full sized birds should be in this thing. I wish now that I had invested in a better coop. I am downgrading from 5 stars to 3, not even a coat of paint would have helped this coop. Took a chance because of all the bad reviews - glad I did. Nice little coop, a few steps seem out of order, but we made do, the only place I did not see pilot holes were for the wheels and the poles, but the placement seems more personal preference. I did cut the cord and re-rig the little run piece attached to the coop as I will not be leaving the coop door open all the time and only moving everything as needed. I would suggest getting a few extra latches for the front and back coop doors, run door, and carabineers (about 7 of these, the small ones) to lock them all with - without extra locks it is not racoon proof and they are sneaky little devils.
