No. It uses a clamp-on, pre-assembled design and typically installs in about 10–15 minutes with basic hand tools. What is the T3 made of? Instruction on install were clear as they come, installed front strip see no gaps for leakage. Overall I think it’s a great value for quality, that you’re getting. You can tell it will last if you take care of it. Overall it fits great on 2026 Ram 1500.

I received this Tyger T3 tonneau cover yesterday and installed it on my 2025 Ram 1500 crew cab 5‘7“ bed today. It arrived well packaged with all the parts clearly laid out, and the whole install took me about 15–20 minutes from start to finish. No tools were required, and the instructions were straightforward. Once installed, the cover lined up nicely and seems to make a good seal all the way around the bed. The clamps feel sturdy, the vinyl looks and feels like good quality material, and the cover sits flat with a clean, low‑profile look. So far I have no complaints and I’m very happy with the purchase. I’ll update this review after a few months of use if anything changes, but at this point I’d definitely recommend this cover to other Ram 1500 owners looking for an easy, affordable solution. ... show more

Tyger Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover looks great on my 2017 Ram 1500 (5'8" bed). I bought it primarily to cover personal belongings from wet weather and curious lookers on long drives with my family. I selected the Tyger cover for the look, ease of install, good reviews, and low cost. The cover arrived promptly and as soon as I received it I put it on my truck with no problems. I took my time making sure that it sat evenly all around the bed but now I can put it on in less than 2 minutes. I left it on my truck for 1 day and then stored it for 3 weeks. While putting the cover back in the black clothe storage bag, the bag ripped. It's made (the bag) of pretty weak material but even with the small hole it's still usable. I did save the shipping box and just put the cover that was inside the bag back inside the box for storage for protection. A few weeks later, we vacationed out of state. I put all my family luggage in the bed, covered the bed with the Tonneau cover and away we went. The cover did it's job very well. Although the vinyl won't keep determined thieves from your belongings, it does keep them out of site and is an obstacle to theft. Knowing that, I just bring everything in the hotel at night and leave the cover open so that someone doesn't cut it open to see if something is in there. We didn't hit any rain but the cover does have a good seal all the way around/ The cover fits nice and stayed in place over 20 hours at freeway speeds. The cover meets my expectations for what I paid. I didn't give it 5 stars because the bag ripped. ... show more

First off, this is my second tonneau cover from this specific manufacturer. And no, not the second cover for the same truck....this is the one I bought for my current truck. My first one was for my 2013 short bed Ram 1500 I bought 9 years ago. That tonneau cover was still in good condition when I traded the truck in three weeks ago. The quality of these tonneau covers is excellent! Given how my previous cover lasted 9 years in the wide ranging weather that Ohio throws at us....from 90+ degree summers, high winds, to -10 degree winters with 6+ inches of snow sitting on it. My previous cover held up exceptionally well with regards to the vinyl, the stitching, and clamping and fitment. The steel cross bows always stayed firm, allowing water to run off and never shifted or came loose. Literally, the only thing I could possibly complain about was the rubber weatherstripping that was adhered to each of the last two sections of the tri-fold cover (meaning the two rear-most sections that actually fold forward on top of the front section). Those individual pieces of weatherstripping on each section eventually came partially unglued and would hang off the sides of the frame. Mind you, this was probably 5 or 6 years into owning the cover, which was used nearly on a daily basis. Thankfully, they were easy to reinstall using a little adhesive spray. Regardless, the tonneau cover always kept the water/snow/debris out of the bed and looked and worked great for 9 solid years of use. Now, onto this newest one. The latest one that I bought....which is for my 2011 Ram 3500 crew cab, (8') long bed dually. Some improvements were made to this cover over my previous one. First, this new tonneau cover has additional safety straps that clip to the bottom of the bed rail in the same area as the forward-most clamps that hold down the front of the cover. This ensures that if one of the front clamps were to somehow come loose, the tonneau cover won't simple fly off the truck! A nice feature! Second, when the cover is folded forward, there are two plastic connectors that clip in place to keep the tonneau cover from unfolding from it's forward (folded) position while driving. On my old version, each end of the plastic connectors (male and female ends) were on short straps that you'd have to fish out, line up and connect. On this new version, the female connector is riveted to the forward most section of the tonneau cover frame near the cab window. The male connector is still on a short strap. This allows one-handed connection of the strap on each side of the cover! A nice little upgrade! I'll gladly post a long term update in the future (hopefully in another 9 years 😂). But in my opinion, you can't go wrong with this amazing tonneau cover! When you install it, make sure to take the time to measure and ensure you are centered side to side so the seals land equally in the same place on each side bed rail. Then, do the same front to rear before clamping down the forward-most clamps. This ensures that each seal has a rail to land on which keeps your bed dry. Sorry for being lond winded. This is a great buy, the price is excellent and the product quality is very nice. I was honestly surprised at the overall quality and looks of this cover. I’ve always had solid fiberglass covers on the past, but this cover is excellent. I installed this on my 2004 Dodge Ram. The install was very simple. Added the extra weatherproof seal near the cab. Put the cover on and lined it up. Started clamping it down and test fitting everything. I did have to relocate the mounts. It’s a simple job you do by just unscrewing the philips heads screw. I had to move all the latches inwards by one slot. Then everything lined up great. The only thing I didn’t like is that the tailgate end/opening has a flat bar. The rest of it has a slight curve and bows up. With the flat bar at the gate it smacks against my tailgate. I had to loosen the back latches more than I cared for. Otherwise my tailgate wouldn’t open or close properly. I think the rear should have a slight bow to allow the gate to close easier. But like I said I loosened it up and it works. The other thing I did was add a locking tailgate handle. So now the rear of the bed is pretty secure. It also includes a storage bag if you need to take it off. It’s such a simple install and removal is just as easy. I really like the flexibility of being able to haul stuff and just folding up the cover if needed. So after 2 years this cover is still going strong .It still looks almost new and I have had no issues with it. If your thinking of buying one just pull the trigger and do it. You won’t regret it. Well first time review of any of the hundred of products that I have bought on Amazon PROS: 1.Price is right, I had a fiberglass top on my old truck that ran me $1500 no telling what they cost now but you can’t go wrong for the price of this cover. 2. Easy to install it took about 15 minutes to get on my truck and that includes getting it out of the box. 3. Does what it’s supposed to do for me , keeps my golf clubs dry and my groceries from getting wet. 4. No it won’t blow off as your going down the freeway if you put it on correctly 5. Had it on for over a year now and it still looks as good as the day I installed it and my truck sits outside 24/7/365 Cons: 1. Not suitable for putting anything heavy on top, maybe 30 lbs max 2. Can be cut open by a crook pretty easily but I don’t keep my safe deposit box in there. 4 year update: Still going strong . Only have had one minor repair to the cover which was to re -glue the weather stripping down that seals the top of the truck bed to the bed cover. Took 30 seconds to repair. This cover has been on my truck for 4 years in the Texas heat and rain and still looks almost new. Top notch quality product ... show more
