Awesome bike rack and very sturdy! We used this for the first time going away on vacation and we were involved in a crash on the highway which totaled the vehicle. Our bikes didn’t move! I was a little nervous about the bar resting on the back glass (Mazda CX-5) but no problem at all! Even with the jostling around from the accident, the foam covering kept the glass and body panel protected and there was zero damage caused to the vehicle or bikes with this attached (aside from the crash damage) I would recommend some sort of protection where the clips attach as it is metal clips on painted body panels, we used pieces of paper towel and that worked perfectly! ... show more

The bike rack was not only relatively easy to install but pretty sturdy. Unfortunately one time my rack broke due to an incident but unlike other companies I’ve experienced (non-bicycle related) , Tyger replaced this hassle free and quickly! Amazing and couldn’t ask for more

I've read several reviews stating the bottom strap hooks comes off. I'm a firm believer that these people are not tightening the straps enough. If you have a hatchback SUV, the top straps should be on the top middle section of the vehicle, the side straps are placed at an angle on the side of your SUV door and the bottom straps goes under the door. I don't like the harness pads resting on the glass so I move it halfway down right below the door glass. Next, I tighten the top straps. Afterwards, tighten the bottom straps. Lastly, tighten the bottom straps. When the straps are tightened.. pluck them like a guitar. If you don't hear a little twang or ping.... It's not tight enough. After I tightened all of my straps, I opened up the hatchback two or three times and the bottom strap did not come off. This thing is functional and works great. Don't forget about the red strap used to hold the bikes to the harness...to restrict bike movement. You'll have to use a little elbow grease and tighten the straps. If you cannot tighten them...get someone who can. This is a fully functional bike strap and harness. I would rate this a 4.5.. because of needing the strength to tighten the straps. I purchased the two bike capacity harness. However, I have an e-bike and it is very heavy and weighs 61 pounds. (if you can remove the battery.. I advise you do so, since the two harness limit is 66 lbs). I'm very happy with my purchase. My bike did not move.....to and from my destination.. 10 mi away. ... show more

Exactly what we wanted -- great coverage for vehicle protection from overhanging bike wheels, roll-up flap allows access to the backup camera, easy to put on and take off, and soft velvet material against the paint. There is a bit of excess length on either edge of the tailgate (see photos) but this is easily managed by pushing the excess in when closing the tailgate ... show more
