I am very impressed with this daybed for the most part. For the price, to also get a trundle, it is well worth it. As a single female, I put together the entire thing myself with no problems. To everyone complaining about the slats or saying you need two people: no, you don't, and you just made the slats more complicated than necessary. All you need to do to get the slats in easily for both the frame and trundle is put one side of it against the wall. That's it. Then you can easily tilt the side that's close to you (not against the wall) back to get each slat in after initially putting it in the side against the wall. None of the others will fall out this way. Now, I highly recommend watching the video on the Amazon product page instead of looking at the instructions! Like others say, the instructions are trash but the video got me through it easily. I just missed part 10 (the L brackets connecting the arms of the frame to the base), but I easily figured out where they went by checking the instruction sheet. I believe the video missed that minor part, but I could have just missed it myself. Note that I was missing one slat with the screw. I contacted the company who immediately said they'd send me the missing part. Well, they sent me AN ENTIRE SECOND BED. Such a waste for one little part. Now I'm stuck with this giant bed that I can't get rid of because the next person would be missing one part. So while I appreciated their quickness to fix the situation, I did not want nor need an entire second bed for one little part. I took one star off for that. It seems pretty sturdy. It'll just be for guests, mainly children, so I'm not too worried. But I laid on it and felt fine and secure. I bought two 8-inch foam mattresses from Amazon and you couldn't go bigger, I don't think. Overall, I recommend for a good daybed plus trundle at a great price. Don't be discouraged by the reviews saying it's hard or even impossible to put together. If I can do it as a single female, anyone can.

I bought this bed frame to use for my grandkids. I like that the trundle can be pushed under the bed when not in use. Giving my grandkids more room to play on the floor with their toys. It took both my husband and myself to put it together, and maybe took us 2 hours. It really is a nice looking bed.

It is a nice frame, but it arrived damaged and I didn’t realize it until it was 3/4 of the way assembled. There were a lot of steps to assemble, so disassembly and re-boxing to return would have been more of a hassle. This bed is in a guest room and has only been used once in the past 3 months. I recently noticed one of the decorative balls had become loose and upon trying to tighten it, it has come completely off and there is no way to fix it because you cannot access the bolt inside the bedpost.

The media could not be loaded. Metal slats don't stay in constantly fall out. As you can see in video also the round balls don't screw in at top of posts. But the most disturbing thing is the wheel has broken off of the lower trundle bed that wheels out. You can see in the pic and video that the soldering didn't hold up rendering the wheel useless and now my other bed for my son is of no use. I also need to add that putting it together was an early indicator. Instructions clear enough but its difficult to actualyy put together in that things dont fit. This is the first time I've actually written a Review to NOT BUY A PRODUCT. I hope it helps.

Both beds are really sturdy and were pretty easy to put together and I did it by myself. It would be a breeze with two people though. I am missing one of the middle poles for the trundle bed. Specifically the one that needs to be tightened with two screws... but I don't know who to contact for that one piece.
