For the price, these string lights are awesome. The bulbs emit a warm 2700k color that seamlessly matches most landscape lighting, creating a charming ambiance at night. With a spacing of one foot between each bulb, these lights provide a good density of illumination along the entire string. Although the plugs feel a bit cheap, it's hard to complain given the price of these lights. Besides, they function perfectly well. The tail end features a female plug, allowing you to chain multiple strings of lights without requiring additional outlets. There is no on/off switch on the lights themselves. To control them, consider using a smart outlet or an outlet wired to a switch. An outdoor smart outlet would be ideal for automating on/off times and enabling app control. Before plugging in the lights, make sure to check that all bulbs are screwed in tightly. I found that many of them were slightly loose out of the box. Having a single 100 ft long string simplifies rigging a set of lights to cover a fair amount of area for evening outdoor illumination. Additional strings can be linked. The bulbs are small, but provide a suitable amount of comfortable warm-hued illumination without being glaring or blinding or overly heavy, and they're claimed to be dimmable. They probably wouldn't be suitable for worksite use. The globes are plastic, so less fragile than glass would be. There were no duds in the set I received and two spare bulbs are included. These are a nice warm white light. A long strand enough for my back patio. I prefer the plastic over the glass bulb, they don't break easily and they don't fill with water like the glass bulb strand they are replacing. They are also lightweight.
