It looks great and really provides ambiance and heat to our living room. The fire effect is pretty nice, and we are picky about that as we've had a different unit in the bedroom for years that looks great but it was discontinued. The warmth is not great, but it's adequate for a small room. I imagine if you live in a very cold location, or have a very big room, it might come up short on heating. The remote works well and allows one to adjust the internal thermostat as well as the fire's look and brightness. Easy to install, just set in your fireplace and plug in. Fantastic unit, fits great in our fireplace. We gave a small dining room or family room space to heat so no problems there. The only thing missing is a remote but I paired it with a govee smart plug and I just tell Google to turn it off and on ๐Ÿ˜

Bought this for a friend(for Christmas) who has a wood burning fireplace in his apartment that he doesnโ€™t use. He absolutely loved it. He fell asleep in front of it for three nights along with the white noise box I also got. That night and early morning the temps dropped very low, froze all the complexes heat pumps and this saved him over the holiday weekend. It heated his whole apartment. It's lovely and works beautifully in my wood fireplace hearth. I hired an electrician to have the power designated and was easily done. Definitely less of a liability and clean up than burning wood!

Had a wood burning fireplace when we moved in 38 years ago and put in a gas log to avoid the mess but never liked the faint smell of gas when the fireplace was in use. We decided to try this item and are so happy we did. It looks amazing. Love the polar flame setting plus the amber setting as well. For a realistic fireplace sound, we purchased the ColorsNoise Sound Machine and are pleased as punch with the results. We will use the heating option a little, but, really, we didn't need the heat as much as we wanted to see a fire in our fireplace. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

I am really happy that I purchased this fireplace insert. Although it is not the most realistic looking fire, it adds a beautiful warm feeling to my livingroom and the remote is easy to use to change through the various options. The heater option is a nice touch, and although I don't think it would heat a large room, it does take the chill out of the room. The fan is a little loud with the heater on. My big complaint with this, which is why I gave it 4 stars is that the power cord is too short, and there is no option for which side it comes out on. If your outlet is on the left, you already loose two feet to reach your outlet. We have to install a new outlet on the right side of the fireplace to use it. I checked all the other inserts, and they all come with a six foot cord. Besides the cord, I am really happy with this purchase and love the ambiance thus adds to my livingroom. ... show more
