Even Better Than I Hoped For
I've had coolers for over 40 years and this one probably cost more the all of my earlier ones combined - IT IS WELL WORTH IT! I thought I was getting a good cooler with an adequate stereo. It's an outstanding stereo with a very good cooler. I took it camping Labor Day Weekend and everybody enjoyed it. Taking turns with Bluetooth was very communal. We were camping on 65 acres so it will probably never get a similar workout in my suburban neighborhood. There is plenty of volume to annoy your neighbors - if you're so inclined. Battery life was good, it held ice into the third day and the sound was outstanding. Minor, minor complaints: The quality of the latch and the cover on the control panel are not as robust as I'd like. Because of the latch, I kept it unlatched most of the weekend and this may have reduced ice life. The cooler is heavy so unless you put it on a table, the control panel cover is only a foot off the ground so it's hard to view. Breakage seems likely - especially with friends unfamiliar with the unit. Speaking of the control panel, when you turn Bluetooth on it tells you it is "Initiaizing" (the missing "l" probably only annoys me). I will spend 99% of the time using Bluetooth but it would be nice to know how to preset the radio. The instruction manual makes not mention of this and the responses to this question here only say that you can preset stations. I have no idea how. Great unit. I bought the extended warranty but after last weekend, I don't think I'll need it. Very happy with this! ... show more

Perfect for every summer activity - Party, Yoga workouts or other exercises!!
Color: Blue
We purchased this cooler recently. All of us love it. The blue color is bright and the size of cooler is good that can be filled with enough drinks and food for many people. The sound came out from the Sondpex speakers is awesome and loud. You can easily turn the volume up and down. When we used it for a picnic and yoga workouts. we got a lot of good comments from my family and friends. Some people even stopped by to ask this cooler and where we purchased it. One of the good things is that the built-in rechargeable battery can last a long time. We used it once in our backyard for long hours and we forgot to recharge. I got a little worry at the beginning when we used it the next day, but it was very amazing that there was no trouble at all and the battery lasted another 4 hours. The MP3 player makes music easy to play - from USB drive, SD card, and cell phone through Bluetooth. Overall we are very pleased with this cooler. The price is reasonable and the sound quality is good. Since it is so easy to carry on, we carry it whenever we are on the road. ... show more

I love it!
Color: Blue
The KoolMax is awesome. The speakers are loud and I havent even turned them all the way up on the cooler yet. I usually turn my phone to maximum and the Koolmax to about halfway or a little more. And it def blasts loudly. The only thing is the bottle opener is a little difficult to use without spilling some liquid out of the bottle. I wish the top lid that protects ipads and devices was able to be sat on since it takes up much of the top of the cooler's space. Also, my handle is tough to pull up all the way sometimes and it is a bit flimsy. Still works but I've been cautious with it. The wheels roll well even through dirt and grass. The battery life has been phenomenal. I'll charge it once to full capacity and will use it for 14+ hours no problem. The bluetooth connects well and easily. Ive connected a microphone and that worked fine too. The cigarette outlet works fine too since my friend was able to charge her phone. I have not used the guitar hookup slot. The flashlight only worked once and has not since but idk why. Other than these minor issues the Koolmax is amazing. It's a party everywhere I go. And it can get wet a little, not entirely but I dont worry when it drizzles or if I'm near a pool. ... show more

VIDEO REVIEW: In short, we now think it's TOTALLY WORTH the price. It's awesome!
This thing can JAM! When it first arrived, we opened it up in our living room and cranked it up. A few minutes later, I got a text from my neighbors asking if we were having a party! :) They could hear it next door. The makers of this cooler seriously thought of EVERYTHING! It will charge your devices, play your tunes, inflate your air mattress, open your beer bottle, keep your ice frozen for THREE DAYS, host a karaoke party or jam session, and protect your iPad/phone/laptop from the elements. And best of all, you charge it ahead of time, and you're good to go for 16 hours. My husband and I had so much fun with this over the weekend. In truth, I was hesitant to buy this at first due to the cost, but we are SO GLAD WE FINALLY DID! It's fantastic - it holds a ton, has a telescoping handle and wheels for easy transport (which is good because it weighs in at 31 pounds, but is manageable with the wheels), AND (best of all) it CRANKS! We actually found it comparable to a BOSE portable sound system we have at home – it’s definitely on par in terms of sound quality. I mention this in my video review, but this is made by a sound system and audio equipment company. It's a legitimate sound system built into a high performance cooler. We did a video review in the hopes it would help other consumers out there who were on the fence like we were. We're not affiliated with the company, but love to go camping and tailgating - this is perfect for both. It's your all-in-one cooler so you can take the party with you anywhere.[...] While they're still on sale, grab one for yourself. It's the perfect fall-outdoor-accessory. Extra tip: the volume on the remote will ONLY go as high as the volume is set on the cooler (the knob). At first I thought the one I bought was broken, but once I figured this out, it worked like a charm. ... show more

Absolutely Amazing
Color: Blue
This is the greatest investment I've ever made. I loved the fact that it requires a well fit muscular man to carry the cooler when it's filled with beer and ice "70lbs".. Oohhh I was suppose to roll it? Let me grab the cheaply made handle, that feels like it's going to snap the second I take a turn, not to mention the plastic wheels they pulled from a big wheel, those things are ready for all kinds of rocky terrain. If you take it to the river, don't grab the side handles to hard, they may snap right off buts it's ok you can break the cooler to get it back on. It's also gives you all kinds of great noises from the Bluetooth, especially if you like the sound of scary movies like the exorcist. But wait that's not all, the top compartment flies open every time you go to grab something from the cooler.. If you call the company, there is all kinds of great customer service, they will tell you they won't fix anything because it isn't covered in the warranty.. All smiles. I absolutely love this thing.. All the heart and pain is worth it.. Man I wouldn't want anything else, like a portable Bose speaker that's half the price.. ... show more

Speakers seem to cut out on 1 side
Color: Red
Review Image by Justin Blasier
Just opend a hr ago. Definitely a neat concept and works well. Only issues i have are it feels cheaply made given the price, and every once in a while it seems as if the woofer and tweeter on the right cut out or drastically reduce volume in comparison to the left side but eventually come back, "reinforcement on my cheaply made statement ". But it makes sound, bluetooth works, FM radio works, AUX input works with my mic and my guitar. Definitely a cool concept for a party speaker. Probably could've used better materials and components though. ... show more

10/10 but things you need to know
Color: Blue
This is one of the coolest things I have ever bought. Huge head turner and when this thing gets going it BUMPS. I bring it to the beach and literally everyone can hear it. I ran into some difficulties however. I used it twice and then all of a sudden it would not turn back on. I emailed customer service with no response. Finally the seller opened a case with them and I got it returned for a brand new one. They paid the shipping but it cost me 30 dollars in packing. Not bad considering the price tag. The turn around was less than a week which was awesome. First thing I noticed with this new cooler is that the red light stays on when it’s charging. On the first cooler I had bought that I had the problem with the red light did not stay on right out of the box. I would say this was a sign something was up with the battery. If you do have problems don’t bother emailing the manufacturer just call them. Got through to them no problem when I called about the status. I would recommend this route as they can help figure out your issue. Thinking about adding some beach tires to the cooler as the wheels on it go through sand like crap. Also it is very heavy when packed. Not a small cooler by any means. Would need two people to carry for any kind of distance. ... show more
