It's a great item and does the job. The reason for the 4 Stars instead of 5 is that I wish it had more up and down flexibility. You CAN adjust the lights just fine. But the Motion Detection device is pretty stationary and didn't leave me with a lot of options. Plus I swear it doesn't always hit the person in the same spot every time. I positioned it to light up whenever a person comes through a gate. Sometimes it will pick the person up as s/he just opens the gate and other times, the person has to walk through a couple/three steps before the lights come on. I bought these lights as extra security for around the house to supplement the Security cameras. Thier has been some young people roaming around looking into windows overnight with flash lights and it concerns me and my wife. While the lights work well for detecting motion and lights up the area where they are installed the remotes are about useless. They work if you are right in front of them to change the settings but to turn them on or off from a distance doesn't work. I don't know what the recommended distance is but keep that in mind when considering this product. ... show more

These are fantastic! Nothing will sneak up on my cats in the backyard now. It even scared the coyote away, I watched him stare at it confused when it went off & then leave. I test them all the time. Even trucks going down the road set off the ones in the front. I mounted each to a small block of wood with the included screws & nailed the wood to a tree, quick installation, minimal prep. I can't say enough good things about these lights. I've bought a lot of different solar motion lights online over the years & I've always been unsatisfied. These keep the property secure like I need, & they came out to the same price really. I need to get more for the rest of the land perimeter. It gets really dark out here. ... show more

These are awesome! The amount of light they put out is more than I expected. They're bright, they're light weight, easy to install, and motion detection is good. One downside is that the solar panel cannot be detached and placed in a better location. Your light can be in a desired location, but the solar panel may not get a lot of sunlight depending on your location, so that limits where you can put it. The other downside is that the panel and light are attached at the same joint, so you will be somewhat limited in how far or close you can position the panel relative to the light. You will not be able to set the light and solar panel flat (like 180 degree angle). You have wiggle room, but its closer to like a 100 degree angle. The batteries inside are also not replaceable. After the light turns on, it shuts off after about 30 seconds of no motion being detected. ... show more

The obvious drawback on this light is the immovable solar panel. This light must be mounted in a place where the sun is able to reach the solar panel which isn’t made to be removed from the unit. I decided to experiment with the one I mounted in my back yard, off the top of the deck. I detached the unit and gently extended the wire to see how far it could reach. I was able to move the solar panel back from the unit several inches and change the angle to improve the panel’s sun exposure. I do recommend this unit! ... show more

I bought this about 2 years ago. It worked well. I ordered it again, and I received it today. Really nice price Only 2 things that I'm not satisfied with are the remote range and battery life. I have total 3 lights now, but all of them respond to the remote operation within 10 ft. Also, I'm not sure the battery life. One of my lights is 2 yr old. Its operation became a little shorter and weird. I think replacing a battery is not worth because it may cost almost buying a new one. Just every a few year, buying a new one is okay but if I have to buy a new one every year, it's horrible. BTW, I'm happy with this. ... show more

I really love these cost effective units, and they do the job very well! I have 8 of these installed around the house for when I do maintenance at night, and they have been exceptionally useful during the evening hours! The remote allows me to use the lights as needed, and it is very convenient to be able to adjust the settings. The lights are relatively bright for their size, and they last fairly long when fully charged. One of the lights I purchased was defective and suddenly stopped working, but I contacted the seller in regards to this issue, and they were more than happy to send me a replacement. Excellent customer service! Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and service! 5/5 I recommend trying out these units if you’re looking for something cost effective that will get the job done. Lights were installed in low traffic areas. Bright and effective in the driveway area and side yard open to the street. Both stopped working in a 8 month period. No response to on and off button on the light or from the remote settings. Both were set to react to motion and deactivate after motion was undetected. So in conclusion 8 months is the max reliability? The small instruction sheet does not offer trouble shooting tips. ... show more
