  • Great Chair...bit of a read, but good info maybe... Great Chair...bit of a read, but good info maybe...
Color: Light Green
This is a bit long, but maybe will help someone. The chair is great. I have been looking for a chair for several months, and finally settled on this one. My only hang-up was that I really wanted genuine leather, which this chair is not. The chairs with genuine leather are either (a) priced well over $1k, or (b) are cheap junk. This chair replaces my old, genuine leather chair, that was less than 3 years old. Unfortunately, it fell into the "cheap junk" category, as I came to find out. I had ordered that chair, just based on the leather...and in fact that is the ONLY part of the chair that held up. I replaced the base when it broke, replaced the hydraulic lift when it broke, and had to re-work the arm rests so they would stop falling off. The sides and back were also deteriorating...so quite literally, the ONLY "good" part of that chair was the actual leather itself. So, apologies for the back story, but that leads me into the review of this chair. In putting it together, I could easily see that this chair is hands down much more well-made than my old one. The base of the old one appeared to be a cast metal or some kind. Problem with cast metals are that they tend to be brittle...which is exactly what happened to me…one of the legs broke off with no warning. This chair's base is welded steel...I'm pretty confident it's not going anywhere. Second is the comfort. Lesson learned from the old chair is that if it appears to be thin padding, it definitely is. After a year or so, I had to add more fill to the old chair to keep it from being so "flat.” It was filled with some sort of cubed foam. This chair has the spring-cushion seat, and bolstered back with lumbar support. It is very comfortable, and the padding is 2, maybe 3 times thicker than the old chair. While the covering of this chair is not genuine leather, it does have a very good feel, looks to be of high quality, and is breathable - which would have been my biggest complaint had it not been. The arm rests are generous in size, and fit comfortably under the desk without hitting. I probably could have done without the footrest, but suppose it may be nice to have at some point. The tilt features work very well...plenty of firm resistance, but not so much to force you up straight, or be horizontal with a simple lean back...the tension is just right. Putting the chair together was easy...took me maybe 30 minutes, and half of that was easily spent just unpacking all the parts, as they were well protected in the box. I would agree with what some others have said about needing a second set of hands with getting the back on. I managed okay, just me, but probably should have had my wife come help...but you know, men can do it all on their own... So, all in all, I'm very happy with this chair, thus far. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time...if I can even get three years out of it, that's okay...I feel a lot better about getting a $2-300 chair every 3 years, than I do about spending $700+ each time. Some photos for reference...you can see how thick the padding is, compared to the other chair. ... show more

  • Very comfy, VERY TALL Very comfy, VERY TALL
Color: Black
I, a 5'10" woman, am incredibly comfy in this chair. It is heavy duty and has steel and iron for many components which are normally plastic on other brands, so it feels nicer and definitely will last. The back goes past the top of my head a few inches and my feet barely touch the ground at the shortest setting (at highest my feet don't touch at all lol). I would recommend this to anyone larger/taller and who wants a nice quality chair, biggest caveat being you may need a taller desk/table. It is a bit wider so if you are larger or want the extra space then it is great, too. I like to put my leg tucked up and there is more than enough room for that! Putting it together is mostly pretty easy except for one part where you have to hold two rather heavy parts to screw them in, so you may need an able bodied friend to help hold it up for you, otherwise get creative. Because it's so heavy, it does require a bit more effort to scoot around in it, made a bit harder by my feet barely touching, but 10/10 it was an upgrade. I got the leather seat so it's super easy to clean. Comparable chairs often go for upwards of $500 so this was a steal. It doesn't lay back as far as my old chair but it is so much more comfy that I don't really care. The built in footrest makes laying back very easy and comfy. My brother is 6'6" and my dad 5'11" and I have recommended this chair to them as well. ... show more

  • Great chair; very comfortable and worth the purchase.
Color: Light Brown
What I have learned from many years of purchasing and putting together chairs like this is it's always best to buy a chair upon which the arms are separate from the body of the chair. There are many chairs on the market that are put together such that the entire support of the chair rests on the arms connecting the bottom of the chair to the body of the chair. That is way too much pressure on the screws that hold the arms on. This chair is not like that. You can actually put this chair together WITHOUT the arms and the chair will function properly. First, the parts of the chair were packaged very nicely. Everything was wrapped separately inside the box to protect against damaging the soft fabric of the two parts of the chair (back and bottom). Very easy to put together - intuitive and the directions were better than many I've seen. When you apply the arms, there is "give" in the application point of about an inch where you can tighten the arms closer to the body or farther away from the body giving yourself more space. I chose to tighten the screws farther away from the body so I can sit cross legged. When you apply the back of the chair to the bottom, there is the same "give" in the application point of about an inch where you can give yourself a "deeper" seat or a "shallower" seat. I chose to tighten the screws farther away from the seat so I can sit cross legged. The arms of the chair will adjust higher - which I use while I am on conference calls to appear more "relaxed". When I want to pull my chair closer to the desk, I can adjust the arms down and they slide under the desk perfectly. The leg rest slides out pretty far - I'm surprised how far this goes - and you can slide further away or closer to you depending upon if you want to extend your legs straight out or cross them. When not in use, it slides neatly back under the seat. I do not personally like to use a recline feature on an office chair. To me, it's asking too much of a moderately priced chair to perform that function (even if advertised as a main feature). That is not what an office chair is for - and I feel it's just going to wear certain points out faster than necessary. If I want to recline or relax, I go the couch or bed. Instructions for the recline feature on this chair is included but I did not try it. I believe there is also a "rock" feature. Again, I'm not going to use my office chair as a rocker. I am pleasantly surprised the back of the chair is just higher than the top of my head. I'm tall (5'9") and I am usually disappointed in the height of chairs. This chair does not have an adjustable head rest but it's just the perfect height for me. From the looks of the chair in the pictures, it really looked like it would be "huge" and just a bit "too much" and I would be swallowed up by it. It's just the perfect size. Not too big that it takes up too much space around my desk but big enough that I feel the chair hugging around me. I think this is going to really help my posture too because my old chair was so uncomfortable that I found myself always sitting on the edge of it like I was trying to get away from it (LOL) and this chair encourages me to actually sit back and relax into it. I purchased the beige chair because it was one of the three colors that was going to arrive quickly. I didn't want black again and I'm not brave enough for white. The beige is a beautiful color. Very calming. I am very pleased with my purchase and hope the seat holds up. Obviously the seat is the first thing to wear out on a chair no matter the size of the person using it. The back of this chair is so comfy though I hope if the seat does wear out quickly, a cushion will help because this chair is a dream. ... show more

  • Almost perfect.
Color: Light Purple
This chair is super comfortable. I love the material and the cushiness the chair brings. I work from home and spend a lot of time sitting, and over the years, I have spent a lot of time searching for the perfect chair. Right now, I'm sitting in an Amish chair with my feet up, so keep this in mind about my review. My Amish chair has a wide seat, so plenty of space for my arms to spread out while working on my laptop. I have a blanket I put over my feet and lap, which then gives me the perfect height for my laptop to sit on my legs. However, sitting in a comfortable chair has its drawbacks. I want to sleep. lol So, I'm trying to get my office together, and a chair is optimal. The reclining design is perfect. I love the footrest, which gives me the feel of my current chair. However, it doesn't fit under my desk properly, allowing me to use my keyboard at my desk at the right angle. So, I put the chair straight up, and that's where the one star got knocked off. Yes, there is a lumbar support, but not nearly enough. The longer I sat in the chair, the more I found myself hunching over because there was nothing to push my spine forward. It felt like my ribs were crushing into my stomach, which was not at all comfortable. However, with all that being said, I do love the chair. If I can find the right lumbar support pillow, this could get me back in the office. ... show more

  • Great Chair
Color: Mesh Blue
I love the color! I’ve been using the Excebet chair for a while now, and I’m honestly really impressed. The comfort level is way better than I expected, especially for long periods of sitting. The cushioning feels supportive without being too firm, and it doesn’t flatten out like cheaper chairs tend to do. The back support is one of my favorite features. It really helps with posture and keeps my back from getting sore, even after hours of use. The adjustable features are also a big plus. I was able to get everything positioned exactly how I like it, which makes a huge difference day to day. Assembly was pretty straightforward, and the overall build feels sturdy and well-made. It doesn’t wobble or feel cheap at all. For the price, I think it’s a great value. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this chair to anyone looking for something comfortable, supportive, and reliable, especially if you sit at a desk a lot. ... show more

  • Doesn't Have Advertised Features (ex. Rocking) & Support Doesn't Honor Free Replacements Advertised
UPDATE 5: The seller responded and AGAIN refused to honor their advertised free gas cylinder replacement, even though the original they provided failed within 3 months. Their excuse was that we were past the return window. The problem with that excuse is that we contacted them well within that window with a replacement request, and they repeatedly pretended not to understand the request, then to reject it. So they're stalling customers until they can say you aren't eligible for anything anymore. Also, if you read reviews, you'll notice a "warranty department" is mentioned, and that's who supposedly sends out the replacement parts they advertised. This apparently doesn't exist. Strongly suspect there might be some fake reviews in here given the way the company uses false advertisements and a complete lack of support. Will be reporting them to Amazon today. You should note, they seem to have removed the image that offered the free wheel replacements (though I believe I still have a screenshot for that report I'll file). But they do still mention free gas cylinder replacements in the original is too high (which is what I originally requested). I've now had to spend more money on replacement wheels because the seller lied about offering free replacements (the rubber ones safe for hardwood floors). And now I'll have to buy another cylinder for it. 100% not letting this go. I'm so tired of companies selling furniture items here with false advertising, knowing it's too difficult for most customers to return those items. UPDATE 4: Exactly 3 months from the day we ordered this chair, and after refusing to honor their advertised offer for a lower replacement cylinder, the original gas cylinder for this chair failed. No one using it uses it roughly. No one using it even comes close to the advertised weight limit. It was just being used in a stable position and suddenly failed. We reset it, and it failed again within minutes, making the chair unusable for us. I'm going to contact the seller one more time and insist on a replacement cylinder given they outright advertise they provide one, but if they refuse again, I'll be taking it up with Amazon, because this combination of quality issues and poor support is not acceptable. UPDATE 3: I definitely cannot recommend this chair. After weeks of use (with the wrong wheels and gas cylinder size because the company refused to honor their offer to send replacements), this chair causes a lot of pain. Lower back pain in particular is really bad. I suspect it's due to the combination of the very hard seat (disappointing given I looked for a spring-based seat intentionally -- if they're there, they're too small to be of any use as you still feel like you're sitting on a hard board) and the lack of lumbar support. Despite their description, there is basically NO lumbar support with this chair. It's incredibly painful even after minor use. I may even have to go back to the old chair this was replacing as the entire point was to reduce pain and increase comfort, of which this chair does neither. It's poorly made. It feels very unbalanced if you lean at all (especially with the lack of proper tension to prevent you falling backwards all the way). Way too many cracking and creaking sounds for a chair this new being used well below its advertised weight limit. Not supported at all by the seller (other than offering minor refunds to keep the junk and figure out how to dispose of it yourself at a loss). Just overall feels unsafe, uncomfortable, and I can't trust either the chair or the seller. UPDATE 2: After several back-and-forth messages with the seller here on Amazon, they've repeatedly ignored requests for the free replacement wheels (needed if you use it on hardwood floors) and the free replacement gas cylinder (if the original is too high) that are advertised on this page in the product images. After ignoring the request repeatedly, along with any tips on getting the tension to actually provide... tension... they flat out refused to honor their advertised offer for those replacement parts. All they did was offer a very small refund if we're willing to keep the chair... without the wheels needed for our floors... without the appropriately-sized canister... and without any reasonable tension function to lean back safely (forget "rocking" as noted in the description because this chair can't do that). It would cost us more to buy our own wheels and canister than what they offered, and that still doesn't address the false advertising of this being a rocking office chair or the unsafe lack of tension for the recline function. I would absolutely never do business with this company again, and we'll be contacting Amazon to see what can be done about them refusing to honor what they advertised. Extremely disappointed after a very long search for a replacement chair. UPDATE: This page, in the images, says the company will provide free replacement rubber casters / wheels if needed (which you need for hard floors), and a free lower replacement gas cylinder if the chair is too high (which it is for my wife). After asking them to send these multiple times via Amazon's messaging system, they've so far refused to do so (will update if they sort this out soon). They've also responded to questions about fixing the lack of tension and the misrepresentation about this being a "rocking" chair (it's definitely not; just reclining), and all we ever seem to get is a copy/paste response offering a small partial refund if we agree to keep the chair. We keep trying to tell them we're hoping to keep the chair, but we needed info on getting the tension to increase and we need the replacement parts they offered to make it work. But they've mostly ignored specific questions and just keep saying the same things. Until the last message where they said they couldn't send replacements for the "missing parts," even though we never said anything was missing. We're just requesting the parts they offer to send right in their Amazon description. Not happy with support at all so far. -- ORIGINAL REVIEW I have mixed feelings on this chair. First, it feels like a sturdy build. And if you're on the larger side, the cushion offers plenty of support -- firm, but mostly comfortable. The exception to the seat's comfort is that the front edge is very firm, and it can cut into the back of your thighs, negatively impacting circulation. This was the problem with my old chair and why I was replacing it. Normally I prefer a higher chair, but this is causing issues even at its lowest setting. The seller does mention in the images they'll send a lower cylinder if necessary, so if I keep the chair and receive that, I'll update on how that affects the pain at the front of the seat. The seller also offers to send replacement wheels if you need the rollerblade-style kind for hard floors. The plastic ones are extremely loud and totally inappropriate for hard floors and their protective mats, so it's nice they provide this option. But if you know you'll need them, I'd request them early. Otherwise you won't be able to fully assemble things until they arrive, or you'll have to risk damage to your floors using the defaults until the replacements can be swapped in. While I like the sturdy sense I get from the chair, there are two big problems for me. I've contacted the seller hoping I'm just not figuring out the settings properly, but I'll update if appropriate later. 1. The description advertises this as a "rocking" office chair. With office chairs, that means something very specific -- the back and seat move in unison in a true rocking action. This looks like the seat can angle back a bit based on the video, but it doesn't seem to do that when "rocking." All it does is lean the top back. That's not a rocking office chair, which was an absolute requirement in me choosing this as a replacement for my old chair. Again, I'm hoping I just missed a control or something and that this will work as-advertised. Oddly though, when the foot rest is out, the seat itself does seem to recline back, so it clearly *can.* It just won't rock otherwise? And if you have heavier legs, or longer ones like I do, the leg rest isn't really usable because your center of gravity will get thrown off (and that's the one thing that doesn't seem sturdy in general). So, for a chair advertised for bigger users, are we simply not "allowed" to use the rocking function because it's tied to the leg rest?? 2. I'm also having issues with the tension knob. All the way in one direction and the back of the chair practically falls backwards the moment you touch it. All the way in the other direction and there's barely any more tension that that. It leads to a very insecure feeling unless you lock the "rocking" function, which again was a major deciding factor in choosing this chair. I'm hoping I'm missing something here too because I've never seen an office chair with this lack of tension. Other than that, the back is comfortable, and I like that the arms are adjustable (width during installation, and height while in-use). Aside from the rocking and tension, two things would make this chair near-perfect though: 1. Adjustable lumbar support. Fixed lumbar support is all but useless in an executive chair because if you're sitting properly you're not going to be leaning back all the time. Proper lumbar support doesn't require you to recline back. It should help you stay upright and maintain your posture. 2. I agree with another reviewer who was disappointed in the lack of head rest. For all the padding on the back of this chair (which is soft, yet dense enough it feels like it will hold up for quite a while), there's no real head rest. The head area is relatively flat and sits too far back, so your head won't even touch it unless you're lying back in more of a reclined position. The only other comment I'll make for now is that any reclining is pretty loud. There's a surprising amount of squeaking and creaking for a new chair. If I keep it, I might see if something needs to be greased. But if not, just know that could be an issue if that sort of noise bothers you. Oh, and like another reviewer, my box also arrived quite damaged. The entire bottom was split open. At first we were afraid we received a used chair after ordering a new one, but the internal pieces seemed OK and everything was there. But if multiple people are receiving damaged, open boxes, I'd make sure you have somewhere sheltered for this to be delivered. Had this been left by our garage in the rain (as many larger packages are here), the chair would have been ruined before we even opened it. ... show more

  • 15 months later, still in LOVE! Looks, feels, & functions like NEW!
Color: Light Purple
Writing this review 15 months after buying. Let me just say, this is the best chair I've EVER had. It was a great price (around $310), WAY too comfortable (I fall asleep in it LOL), and the company stands by their product. I asked for the alternate wheels and a lower gas cylinder when I bought it (which was in Feb 2025) and I'm REALLY glad I did. The chair came with what I requested, I put it together in about an hour (by myself), and when I sat down I realized how TALL the chair must be with the "regular" cylinder lol. I'm only 5"4 and my feet barely touch the ground... I think it's because the seat is so thick. I'm also 200 lbs, so much lighter than this chair CAN hold, but I'm not "small". The seat is wide enough for me to sit with my legs crossed ("easy pose" in yoga :P). The chair isn't too soft or hard... it's supportive. It does NOT "rock" but the back of the chair can lean back. I don't care about the "rocking" motion, but if you do, this might not be for you. I used to ONLY buy chairs that rock but after buying new chairs once or twice a year for 3 years, I decided to go for something like this, and I'm glad I did. I definitely saved money in the long run. I use this daily for my job (working 50-60 hours a week) and it still looks and feels and FUNCTIONS, like brand new. VERY highly recommend! ... show more

  • So far so good (unboxing day review.... Edit to add First extended use review) So far so good (unboxing day review.... Edit to add First extended use review)
Color: Light Pink
Day One Review The chair arrived today, and I was genuinely excited to try it out. In the product photos, it looked spacious enough to sit half cross-legged or switch between different sitting positions—and I’m happy to say it mostly delivers on that expectation. Right out of the box, the color stood out. It’s a beautiful shade of pink that the online pictures don’t fully capture on my computer. Assembly was straightforward, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions. Although it recommends two people, I was able to put it together on my own with minimal difficulty. Once assembled, I sat down to test it out. It’s very comfortable and offers solid support. One thing I did notice is that the chair sits a little taller than expected. It’s not overly troublesome, but it may take a bit of getting used to depending on your desk height or personal preference. My only real complaint so far is the leg rest—it isn’t securely fastened and can slide off if overextended, which is a bit inconvenient. Aside from that, I have no issues with the comfort at this point. I’ll plan to update this review over time to speak to its durability and how it holds up with regular use, but for now, I’m very happy with the purchase. So far, it feels like a great buy. Edit for extended use 4/27 I’ve been using this chair for a while now, and overall, I’m really happy with it. Pros: It stays comfortable even after long hours of sitting, which was one of my biggest concerns. The seat has enough support that I don’t experience any pressure pain, and it’s held up well over time—no loss of puffiness or comfort so far. Cons: The leg rest isn’t the best, but honestly, that seems to be a common issue with chairs that include one, so it’s not a major drawback for me. Overall: It’s a solid, comfortable chair that holds its shape and support over time. If you’re looking for something reliable for extended sitting, this one does the job well ... show more
