Much like Goldilocks; it's taken me three attempts to find the right resistance cord. I started with Medium - too easy. So, I went to XX Heavy and it was too hard. Heavy cord? Just right. This is the right resistance for someone that is pretty fit and works out 4-6 times per week. It gives adequate resistance for twists, strikes, etc. I am very fit and do significant strength and functional training and this is the cord I need. Medium is great for beginners and XX Heavy is ideal for anyone over 240 lbs and fairly strong. I use the heavier cord for low-rep movements (6-8); opposed to 10+ reps on the Heavy cord. ... show more

These are great for our workouts. We get a lot of use from these..so we replace them often due to breakage. Wish they lasted longer. The sheath is great as when they break, there is no fear of being hit by the band.
