It's OK quality, certainly not worth the price it's charging. Didn't quite fit the instrument (we ordered for a mellophone, there don't seem to be any lyres for them) but chose this at the behest of the band instructor. The piece that connects the lyre to the flip folder broke within less than a week and had to return for a replacement (if this one breaks, I'm just gonna request a refund). OK stability, stayed on the instrument for a few days of practice at least. Easy to assemble but again, broke too easily and probably would pick something else next time.

The band doesn't provide these stands normally, so this fit the purpose exactly! This helps when there are multiple musical sequences, and helps to have a quick reference to the music when/if needed. The pages are easy enough to flip through during break in playing or breaks between musical sequences. The main issue we saw was that we couldn't get it "tight" enough to keep from sliding down the bell, or sliding over to the side. The weight of the lyre is pretty hefty, and certainly adds weight to the bell end of the trumpet, which potentially will create fatigue over long periods. If the trumpet is thrusted or swung side to side, the lyre will tend to slip down the bell housing and eventually to the side. This means this is mainly useful for slow/gradual movements (if any) or at standstill. May need to add some different rubber/tackier material to keep from sliding about. For just under $23USD at the time of this review, this seems a little bit on the higher end of the price range we've seen. For the combination of price and the inability to stay "tight" to the mounting position, we chose to let 1.5stars (effectively 2stars) go. We would likely not recommend this lyre.

I got this Somivrusa Trumpet Lyre 2 in 1 for my grandson for marching band, and it’s been a really nice addition to his setup. It adjusts easily to fit his trumpet securely, and I like that it can also be used on a snare drum, which makes it feel like a smart, flexible purchase. The flip folder holds his music well, and the double-sided pages make it easy for him to see everything clearly while marching. It stays in place during practice and doesn’t seem to wobble or distract him while he’s playing. It did take a little fiddling at first to get the angle just right, but once set, it’s been very dependable.

bought this for my niece who plays trumpet in her school's band. She's says that it's sturdy and by far much better quality than the loaners the school has which are flimsy and cheap. Not to mention she can now practice anywhere and whenever without ever having to put her trumpet down.

This Somivrusa Lyre and Flip Folder set is an affordable bundle, but the quality is very much a mixed bag. While the folder itself is functional, the lyre mechanism is unreliable, making this better suited as a spare or a backup accessory rather than your primary gear for marching season. The Flip Folder (Acceptable): The included music flip folder is a good size and holds music sheets well, providing 20 slots with 10 clear, double-sided folio pages. The pages are clear enough for easy reading, which is essential on the field. The Lyre & Durability Issues (Flawed): The "2-in-1" adjustable lyre is the main weak point. The adjustable clamp mechanism does not hold securely on the instrument (whether trumpet or drum), and it tends to slip or come loose during marching and heavy movement. Furthermore, the rings on the flip folder itself come apart easily, meaning your music pages can fall out unexpectedly—a major issue during rehearsal or performance. Overall (3 Stars - Better as a Backup): This kit is fine for the price, but the critical issues with the lyre's grip and the flip folder's rings make it unreliable for regular, primary use. It holds the music well enough when it's stationary, but the lack of security during movement is a real drawback. I would only recommend this as a budget-friendly backup set to keep in your case, not as the main lyre and folder for a full marching season.
